Handguns & Knives

Most of the gun/knife and hat/gun pics I've taken have been for a couple of private forums where enthusiasts and collectors enjoyed 'pairing' their items, many of which were EDC pairings.

As others have opined, I've found significant use of knives in everyday use.

A few I've done over time, representative of what I was carrying as retirement gear at one time or another ...

Another cool thread! Fun to go through and see interesting pictures. Here's my contribution; A Glock 19 and a Smith & Wesson folder knife unfolded. The Glock gets carried occasionally and the knife is with me everyday, although S&W doesn't make knives, they get money from selling the right to have other people put their name on other products. I've seen Glock knives too, but I don't own one. That would make a better picture. IMG_0687.JPG

Just FYI, but S&W (through their Battenfeld Technologies company) actually bought Taylor Brands LLC back in 2016, which means they also own Schrade, Old Timer, Imperial & Uncle Henry. That means they can make their own lines of knives within the family of companies they own.

I carry a knife 100% of the time, mostly a small pocket knife for simple cutting chores.
:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I've carried a knife of one type or another (usually a small pocket knife) for so many years that I can't remember when I didn't. And when I started regularly carrying a gun about 30 years ago, that didn't change. Why would it? :confused:
BTW, I use my "carry" knife almost every day. Thankfully, I haven't had to use my "carry" gun yet.

No pictures, but no matter what gun I carry I always have 2 knives. One is a tiny little Swiss Army knife as was shown above ( with scissors) and a larger folder that can be opened one handed. I carry my
gun on the right side and the folder on the left so if my right hand is occupied, I can still get to the knife. I'm too old for hand to hand fighting and too slow to run. Thankfully I have never really needed the gun but the knife gets used often.(but not for combat, thank God)

I see lots of times when people post pic's of their handguns Knives are pictured with the gun.
Are they just a prop, or these fine folks actually carry them with their gun.
I carry my Uncle Henry USA made LB7 lock back daily with my CCW. I'm not sure if people even carry lock backs this day and age,, but I've been carrying mine since 1983. Hellcat Pro on the left, LB7 on the right side.
Ha, I just made the comment on another forum that it seems to be a prerequisite to post knives in handgun pics. I just bought a new revolver and purposefully tossed an ugly knife into the pic. Another time I dropped a potato into a pic of some rifles.

This photo has always been one of my favorites:

fastbolt: Thanks for the Battenfeld Technologies link. I never knew how big some of these corporate umbrellas are getting and can't keep track of all the mergers, buyouts and takeovers that go on. I have a second S&W "Extreme OPs" knife that is still in the original blister pack. It's a backup in case I lose my current one, and I figured on getting a backup now before inflation drives the prices up more. Here's a shot of the back of the packaging and they even had it made in you-know- where. IMG_0692.JPG ....Getting back to the main topic of both guns and knives instead of just knives, this is the field dressing knife assortment for deer season; shown here with the 9mm coup de' gras luger that my late uncle wanted me to utilize as an alternative to a 12 ga. slug or hi-power rifle for the occasional deer that's down but not dead yet. IMG_0690.JPG . Gotta stay on topic and I already had this pic here on the computer.
