The last 5 years in Wa. state have been bad ones. I'd be happy if I could buy a semi auto centerfire rifle again.Man, when was the last time you were happy?

Seattle here bro, I resorted to Revolvers & 1911’s. BUT having a blast! The last 5 years in Wa. state have been bad ones. I'd be happy if I could buy a semi auto centerfire rifle again.

....loading magazines for my JV sniper team.
Coached lots of junior shooters through our club's DCM prgram and as a rule, the girls were quicker to learn & better shots than the boys.Yep. We took our daughter and a few friends to the range when we were putting our son's scout troop through the Rifle Merit Badge. The girls shot much better than the boys. One of them is now on an ROTC rifle team.

All sounds awesome but the crackling fire, coffee or bourbon, take your pick as either work for me. Conversation with friends that are family or eve family around that fire.Happiness is... the smell of wet woods and burned powder and blood on the last cold day of rifle season.
Happiness is... the flutter of wings and the boom of guns and the sweet smell of cedar and sage on the wind during a covey rise on a frosty November morning.
Happiness is... a crackling fire and coffee and Hoppes #9 on a winter evening after a successful hunt... don't matter for what or if you killed anything.
Need I go on?
Mac
Not a smoker but aromatic pipe tobacco is good
Don't forget the pipe full of good tobacco and lit with a burning pine bough pulled from the fire.
Regretfully, I gave up my pipe in 2005. That is, I "practically" gave it up - I still light it up (with a burning pine bough) whenever I'm sitting by a campfire with a hot cup of coffee.
Just the wilds of Alaska would work.A .45/70 Marlin Guide Gun in the wilds of Alaska!

Getting out of bed in the morning despite the creaks and cracking. Knowing I have been blessed with another sunrise.
Don't take any of it for granted
Ok , Conan. I got that...Lol!!The smell of gun oil cooking off a hot barrel.
The sound of your projectiles being driven before you,
and to hear the lamentations of of your targets.
