For those that don't know about Ammo Day: http://www.ammoday.com/
The gist is this: We all go out today and restock on ammunition. The suggestion is 100 rounds but most folks buy much more.
Why? (Taken from the Ammo Day Website)
People that load their own can buy primers, powder or rimfire ammunition. It’s a great reason to run out and get a surplus rifle too. $200 buys an SKS with 560 round of ammo on stripper clips. Find the right sale and you might come away with a Mosin-Nagant and 780 rounds for $150. The main thing is to go out and ring the cash register of you local ammo retailer, even if all you can afford is a box of .22 and some cheap 12ga.To empty the ammunition from the shelves of your local gun store, sporting goods, or hardware store and put that ammunition in the hands of law-abiding citizens... There are an estimated 75 MILLION gun owners in the United States of America. If each gun owner or Second Amendment supporter buys 100 rounds of ammunition, that's 7.5 BILLION rounds in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
And tell Kim happy birthday.
