I'm about done with some of these stores. LGS who owns about 6 shops throughout the state has always had prices a hair more than Cabelas and Midway but I like to shop local and help keep jobs local. Now he's selling 50rd 9mm aluminum for $35-40, 100 primers for $10-12, cleaning supplies doubled, firearms prices almost doubled. One store is 15min from the inner city and everyone that goes in there has their rear end hanging out of their pants and smells like pot. They used to be super helpful and now no help at all and act like you just cursed them out asking for help.
I quit shopping Cabelas after Bass pro took over because they turned into a sunglasses and t shirt store. I went in yesterday to look for primers because they have had them consistantly and within 2-3 weeks they doubled. I thought about buying a brick for $65 and then wanted to look at something in the optics case. Of course everyone was standing around BS so I ask a worker pushing a cart if he can call someone to help me. He says yeah, as soon as I get done cleaning up this dog crap I will be right over, how's that sound to you? I replied it sounds like your attitude sucks, you lost a customer and I walked out without spending over $300 like I planned. Primers and powder went up here but some ammo seems to be hovering around normal price or a buck or two higher. Whats with that?
Went to Midwayusa for bullets and holy crap! double the price. It seems after Potterfield resigned they jacked the already high prices up even more.
I scored 4 100rd packs of CCI Mini mag at walmart last weekend for $8.99 box. They also have AA shotshells in and only a buck or two more than before. I see all you guys posting deals and it seems like the smaller guys are having the best prices while the larger places screem they raised the prices due to the manufacture raising them.
Who does everyone use ONLINE other than Cabelas, BP and Midway for stuff like solvent, oil, cleaning supplies, cases, etc? I used to despise shopping online but maybe the way to go.
