I read it, then flipped from the last page to the first page and started over.

Made me kick myself for not buying a 20mm anti-tank gun with my scrap metal collecting money, back when I was a kid. I do remember seeing that advertisment...

I think your poll should be How Many Times Have You Read It? Sub- this week/this month/this year, and what do you think Cindy really looks like?
Awaiting the further adventures of Henry and Cindy....

I liked the first half a LOT -- it really showed what freedoms we've lost since 1934, and what life was like when the country was truly free. I have other opinions about assassinating public officials that don't seem to jibe w/Mr. Ross or Matt Bracken. Nonetheless, it's thought- provoking stuff.

Read John Ross's essays on his website, www.john-ross.net Good writer, very interesting guy, unique thinker (even among the gun culture). Look forward to meeting him someday.

ETA : JR, when ya gonna add another article to Ross in Range? ;)

Look forward to meeting him someday.

Get to Knob Creek next month. I met him there and talked to him for a short while. Forget what you think about Henry cause that ain't him no more ;) .

I liked UC except for the unfortunate jogging scene.

Read both and they were great . Not sure whether I would take Cindy or Ranya hmmm tough choice . If you ever decide you want to read some poetry I must suggest Wilfred Owen and another guy Siegfried Sassoon or some such .Very interesting insight as to what the guys in WWI went through.

I've read it three times. I've tried to get to it once a year, but failed at that. I once discussed the book with a co-worker, who eventually asked if he could 'borrow' it to read himself. I demured.

Hmmmmm. Cindy. I'll just keep that image to myself, thank you very much.

I enjoyed it enough that I gave away my copy so that it would read by someone else. But the sex stuff was ridiculous.

I have read both Unintended Consequences and Enemies Foriegn and Domestic, andgiven copies away to others.Very interesting reads.

Read it. It was a chore getting thru the first half of the book to the current day events. Probably this part of the book could have been deleted.

I gave it away. Don't know who has it now.

I'm afraid that for me, an interesting and thought-provoking book was thoroughly spoiled by the absolutely unnecessary and gratuitous sex scenes. They could have been toned down (or even omitted altogether) without any detriment to the book, and possibly a whole lot of improvement. I'm no prude, but really - what on earth did they have to do with the book's central thesis?
