So now what it's coming down to is some people here seem to think Kerry disgraced US troops by making claims that were true, but not widespread.
Maybe Kerry's standards were too high.
We don't know that these claims were true, only that war crimes did occur. Seems Kerry would be in good company with those who committed them, so he's hardly the one for high standards. Perhaps he should have confessed to killing non-combatants and stood court-martial had his standards been so lofty. The 151st incident would've been more telling.

I don't know, because I wasn't there. Growing up in a military town, I do remember hearing a lot of the same stories. Not just from people that were against the war.
I spent 3 years in Nam and I NEVER saw any of this crap, and due to my job (helicopter crewman) I was all over the place over there. I guess Kerry saw more in 4 monthe than I did in 3 years...................yeah, right.

On one hand, Bush skipped a year of National Guard simply because no one can remember seeing a low ranking officer on a military base during the Vietnam War. Eyewitness testimony and circumstantial evidence don't count.
On the other hand, we cannot say anything derogatory about the war and post-war history of an individual that did four months in combat and used that experience to give expert congressional testimony on the conduct of the entire US military involved in fighting in Vietnam. Nor can we use his post-war ravings and actions to judge his worthiness for becoming Commander In Chief.
It's almost absurd as the "family" of 9/11 "victims" opposing Bush using images from 9/11 in his campaign ads. Bush's actions and leadership that day and in the following days should be one of the more important topics in the upcoming election. However, Bush saying anything good about them is called using 9/11 for personal gain. Yet the opposition can say anything about Bush and 9/11 without anyone complaining.

I really hope the true story of Kerry's war record comes out. Anyone have a source that's less partisan? I'm serious. I have a lot of people I'd like to send that sort of stuff to, but they're likely to be put off by material from such sources as frontpage.

If this story has truth, one only need wait until Drudge breaks it and the major media play catch-up afterwards. I seriously doubt Bush's handlers will let any attempt to torpedo Kerry go untaken.

Well, Bush has released all of his military records. Kerry refuses to have his released. That tells me all about him that I will ever need to know.

Let me see, Frontpage (nice source) is quoting some one who claims that Zumwalt said Kerry had to be reigned in but he is dead and it's unverifiable. Assuming it's true, if Kerry's deeds did not earn offical condemnation or censure, what is the issue?

What about all those unemployed MA subjects in all those seedy factory towns surrounding Boston? They get larger government checks than anyone does in TN, thanks to the increased cost of living resulting from the left-wing penchant for over-regulation and the costs passed-on to consumers.
