How are the NEF Pardner Pumps???

Every time someone asks about a NEF PP, the weapon mind you, it all comes back to China. Some of you act like there is not one thing in your household that is made there. People are asking about a shotgun, not about your views on the country it was made in.

O.P., I have a Pardner Pump Protector and am very impressed with it. I, along with most of my department, have shot the thing relentlessly. It is solidly made and shoots anything without difficulty. If you decide to purchase one, I believe you will happy. But who knows.... they are made in China.

For me, it's also a quality question. I wanted a Wingmaster, not the Express, and a used Wingmaster seems like a better deal than the other shotguns I looked at. Steel and walnut: no plastic parts, unless you count the rubber recoil pad. I intend to put thousands of shells through it. A few scratches and a little bluing wear on the action bars is not an issue for me.

OTOH, if I wanted a defensive shotgun that would not see a lot of shooting, I would consider the Mavericks and the Pardner Pumps, although I'd jump at a used, older shotgun. I think that's where the best bang for the buck can be found.

It's a personal choice, and I have my own opinions as to what I want. I hope no offense was taken.

Regards,
Dirty Bob

Since Remington now owns NEF it appears that "their" loyalty to USA made products in not quite as important as profits.

Dont get me wrong...I like to supports US companies....but we can see where THEIR loyaly lies.........the almighty $$$$$$

OK..."owns" is incorrect terminology.

I got the quote from the Remington site, and since NEF is part of the "family"......I guess the sale of Chinese knock-offs is OK with them. that was my point.

Thanks for correcting me.
