Not to gang up on the OP (whose decision to buy what is a pretty sharp-looking, and probably totally functional weapon, was almost certainly not politically motivated), but Norinco is a company directly related to the PRC military. If you care what happens to the Darfuris in Sudan, the Tibetans, or our troops who will inevitably have to fight the People's Liberation Army (to say nothing of meeting their weapons on the battlefields of Iraq, Afghanistan, and wherever's next) Norinco is an easy choice on my "companies to boycott list." Buy American. Or German. Or Austrian. Or Italian. Or Czech. Or Swiss. Or Bulgarian. Or Croatian. Or... you get the idea.
