How Did You Observe Rev. Jackson's Nationwide Gun Protest

I went out today. Picked up a couple boxes of 30-30, some 12 gauge slugs for HD, and a new reloading manual. :D

Handled a few glocks, a couple kahrs, and a taurus... And realized I really don't have the money for any of them. :(

Picked up a box of .45 ACP 230 grain (do they make another load? Dunno) Golden Sabers. Just a little somethin'.

Range Time

Celebrated Sunday.

Bought some 9mm test ammo (MagTech) and hit the range with my new Taurus PT911 and did two things:
  1. got in a couple hundred rounds of practice
  2. dedicated the first 21 rounds to a decorated veteran's passing

I went to Bimart and bought 1000 22lr, and 3K Win Large Pistol primers.
I also sat down and made a few hundred rounds of 230 grain 45Autos.

I took my Bushmaster Carbon 15, model 21 to the range with 30-round magazines, and my Glock 19C with 15-round magazines. I took my own 5.56 ammo and bought some 9MM, paid 30 minutes of range time and popped 4 targets.

I called my state Senator (Florez) and requested he vote no on handgun Microstamping and the firearms Theft Loss Reporting Bills on the floor.

I sent mail to Governor requesting he veto SB 180, which removes secret ballots from workplace.

Then I cast my gaze to the east and wondered about America.

while just a coincidence, the Ups guy got half a hernia today delivering 880 rounds of possibly the last cheap Hungarian surplus 762.54r "less then 100 bucks"

also 4000 180gr .40 raineers:what:
and parts kits for my next couple of AR projects.

Tried to sight in a 4X scope on my Remington Black Nylon .22. Found that the crosshair wasn't attached to the elevation control.

Yesterday, The State of Missouri dumped it's stupid Permit To Acquire (PTA) system :neener:which required us to get a "permission slip" from the Sheriff each and every time we purchased a hand gun. Originally, it was a Jim Crow law. It cost $10.00 per and depending on the County, would take up to seven business days to "process":scrutiny:.

After 70 years of that kind of stupidity, yesterday, it ended. So, we thank Reverend:)eek:) Jackson for designating the 28th to celebrate with us. To say that gun stores were busy in MO yesterday is a massive understatement.

Oh yea, almost forgot, our vastly improved self defense law went in to effect yesterday as well:D. Hope you had a nice day Rev because I don't imagine you spent any of it in Missouri.

I picked up a case of ammo... in a caliber for which I don't even own a gun :D

7.62x54R

But there's a Mosin or two in my near future; plan to pick up at least one at a show in a couple of weeks... if that doesn't work out I'll be ordering one online.

realtor - I never realized there was such a law as the one you mentioned.

Bought an SLR-106FR and 5 magazines :D I'm doing my part.

Bought two cases of 20 gauge and 6 boxes of 9mm. WOuld have bought .45, but Walmart was out of Blazer Brass.

I gave a good home to a CZ75 from my local purveyor of fine firearms. it looked loneely on the bottom shelf all by itself.

When I got home, I found out that the modem on my home computer had gone Tango Uniform. One more thing to fix. I know a good repair shop that is right around the corner from the local Wally World (more ammunition??).

There was supposed to be a silent protest at Green Lake in Seattle at 6:30, and not a word have I found in the local papers. Maybe by the weekend.

I rather kept watch on the (lack) of media coverage with shameful joy.
The ISRA recommended (rightfully) that counter demomnstrations be nixed--less attention is given by the media.

The judo strategy seems to have worked--Jackson and Pfleger got very little attention and looked foolish.

RO'ed the last night of my club's summer pistol programs that I run. They are open to the public and feature an introductory marksmanship course and a 25'' bullseye course. Next year we add a National Match Course.

You all may have bought guns and ammo, but I trained the next generation.

......I would have bought guns and ammo too, but I'm just a poor folk.:(

Must have been real damn silent.:neener:

I did the same thing I always do: I engaged some local youths to ask them about their schooling and what they plan to do with their lives. I've been heavily involved with one young black youth that lives in my complex and is the son of a single mother. He's entering highschool and I've noticed he's been falling into the wrong crowd (gangbangers). When I fly my R/C helicopter at the park, he likes to come out and watch me crash it. I use the time to encourage him to be an example, not a statistic. If he keeps his nose clean and keeps his grades up, I can help him get a summer 'internship' with my company which could potentially lead to a career. It's only one kid, but hopefully, one less kid anyone will be seeing on a wanted poster. If he matures as he should, then we can get into the gun thing.
