marktx, I totally see your point about selling the amp, but this ammunition isn't going into a stockpile. It will almost assuredly be shot in a few weeks time. Plus, I am selling the amp at a profit, and I have another one lined up to purchase locally for a good deal. I still hate to have to resort to using a one-time/finite income source, the sale of a valuable possession in this case, to purchase something consumable like ammunition, but shooting has become a priority, and major part of my time, effort, and budget. Especially now that I have turned most of my band mates/musician friends into avid gun enthusiasts/shooters(we are the only right wing conservative pop punk band I've ever known to exist
). I went from shooting once every other week or so, to multiple times a week, or as often as I can afford it, which is no problem with me, except for the fact that it gets very expensive very quickly. Plus, since my recording studio is my only source of income, I don't know when, or how much money I will be making in advance, so that basically makes it impossible to set any real budget, and I often end up spending more than I should.
It's hard to say no when a friend calls you on a nice day when you aren't busy and asks if you want to go shooting. For the past month or so, this has happened 2-3 days a week. This makes it hard to put enough money back to buy in enough quantity to save money, so I am trying to find the cheapest ammunition I possibly can, without getting into back ordering, etc., and if this is the best I'll most likely find, I'll go with it.
And to whoever mentioned buying more, and selling it at a small profit, I would be doing this if I knew anyone locally who had a gun that takes it, but I don't. If anyone on here lives within driving distance of Altoona/Blair county, PA, I'd be glad to hook you up. Just drop me a PM.
