How many magazines do you have?

At least 3 dozen magazines for various rifles.
Most recently bought for the M1A.
It only came with 1 ten round magazine.

Prior to that I got these little gems -

That gun only came with 2 twenty round magazines

As a rule of thumb I don't own more magazines than I can realistically carry with the parent weapon.

For my AR15, I have 11 30-rd mags.
For my AK47, I have 5 30-rd mags and one 5-rd mag.
For my 10-22, I have 2 30-rd mags and 2 10-rd mags.

I would say that five high capacity magazines per assault rifle is the standard. For pistols, at least 3 magazines is the standard.

Another mosin shooter here! I usually have about 10 mags handy... although its somewhat inconvenient having to carry them around all day attached to your hands! -Chris-

Only one rifle here takes separate mags.
The Mini 30 has three: the tiny original and two good 10-rd. metal Promags.

Mags for the Norinco SKS, three Enfields (never removed) and Yugo Mauser are very hard to lose/misplace.

A friend from Germany (who plans things very well, like all Germans) once forgot his AR mag and could not understand how.
This can not happen to the typical SKS.

I've got a bucketload of G3 mags for my Cetme....at 97 cents each, it would be rude not to.

I have 10 mags for my Glock, and 8 for my Beretta Neos, and 5 for my M&P 15-22. The more the merrier, I will no doubt increase that collection; I like to go to the range with them already topped up and minimize reloading while there.

I have a bunch of handun mags. Hate to think how many 1911 mags I've bought hoping to find the perfect one.

Two 20 round capacity and one 10 round capacity for the SSG 551.
Why? The 10 round for prone shooting at long distances and the 20's
because they fit my needs. I actually find loading a nice break in my
shooting series
However, Also enough StripperCclips and a speed-loader, because I hate sore thumbs

Lately I have been buying morre and more mags so it depends on the gun. My minimum is now 8 per gun, but some I have as many as 25.

Really have no idea as to how many I have, several boxes full of just AR and AK mags, plus several drums. Ammo I have several thousand rounds for the AR and AKs

Since more mags means using it when society breaks down in law and order. THese are the scenarios when mass chaos ensues and one has to gear up. So most likely i grab my AK 47 rifles . I got around 9 to 10 mags in 30 rders. Thats the most i have in high capacity mags. More than enough I think to go with rifle, God forbid i may have to use it. Let say, one AK for me and another AK for my son who is getting more proficient as he gets a little older every year.

NOw the AK 74 mags i need to get some more while the prices are low. I m just beginning to stock up on the 5.45 ammmo. This caliber is so sweet to shoot plus they are much cheaper.

If i go to the range i mainly just bring along one 20 rder Hungarian for the AK.

Never know when the next ban in gonna come down the pike---caught rather flat footed the last time around---had hi-caps but not enough to last a lifetime.


Have 2 AR's to feed---I've lost count how many mags I have for these--I sporatically pick up pairs of mags and put them away---mostly when the price is right or I have a spare $20-$30 to go the mag stock.

Also have a bunch of mags (rifle and pistol) for guns I don't own anymore or might pick up again--either way they are good trading fodder and a gold mine if another ban comes along.
