It's Interesting to me that I own 16 guns and there's others I want.
My next rifle will be a Marlin XLR in 35 Remington and the one after that will be either a Browning BLR Pistol grip .358 Win. Or a Ruger Hawkeye in .358 Win.

I also want a Mossberg shotgun with 18.5 barrel and an SKS, Mosin Nagant M-44.

And the list gets longer ...A.H

I PLAN.to get four more. Who knows how many I will end up with. I have 4 sons and 4 daughters and want to make sure they all have a nice collection of the best stuff!

I think no more guns. I have 5 pistols and revolvers also 7 rifles and 12/70-.222Rem. I am shooter and reloader, no colector.

However many guns I have right now...plus one. Seems that every gun I purchase is my last. I swear it is I tell my wife every time.

As much as I would like to buy infinite numbers of guns, I find it to be counterproductive. I think it's better to only have 1 gun and know how to use it well than to have 50 guns and be rusty on all of them.

That said, I own 2 rifles, 1 shotgun, 1 air rifle, and 4 pistols. I would like to add a big bore revolver, and a bolt action rifle in 308. Aside from that, I prefer to spend my money on ammo and range time.

The gun magazines keep showing me new ones. But I also love old Iron. I guess about 1000 so I could fire about 10,000 rounds without having to reload.

A 1911, a Garand, An AR, AK, short barreled 12 gauge, bolt .308 precision rifle, M1a, .243 deer rifle, and another concealed carry gun would honestly fulfill my needs to the point where I would feel comfortable not buying another gun. Not that I wouldn't buy more, I just wouldn't feel the real need to.

I want several more guns. Currently my collection stands at:

20" AR15 DMR - .223 Rem
Benelli Nova Special Purpose - 12GA
Savage MkIIf - .22LR
HK P2000 (LEM) - .40S&W
SIGPRO SP2022 (SA/DA) - 9mm
Taurus PT1911 (radically reworked by a smith) (SA) - .45ACP
Smith & Wesson 22a - .22LR

I'd like to add the following:

Ruger GP100 - .357 Mag
Savage Model 64 - .22LR
WASR10 - 7.62x39mm
Marlin 1894 - .357 Mag
Savage 10FP - .308 Win
Springfield M1a National Match - .308 Win
16" AR Carbine - 5.56mm
Nighthawk Talon 1911 - 9mm
Kel-Tec FP9 - 9mm
Exposed-hammer side-by-side coach gun - 12GA

I like having different guns for different purposes. Currently I don't have any two guns (other than .22LR) in the same caliber, or in the same action, for that matter - heck, I don't even have two guns from the same MANUFACTURER, or, believe it or not, from the same GUNSHOP! As my collection expands, I want to keep that trend up as much as possible - I don't want two guns that do the exact same thing - I want guns that are each unique and have their own advantages over the others in my collection. I am a very practical shooter and try to outfit my collection as such.

The only guns I currently own that I don't have serious expectations from for utility purposes are my .22lr weapons, and the only reason I have them are to get the most out of my training budget. My Savage MkIIf even has a Williams dovetail rear aperture sight which allows me to simulate my AR's BUIS sight picture and get a lot more basic training with irons for a lower cost. My next Savage .22LR will be an autoloader with a scope on top to allow me to simulate shooting my AR with it's scope up top, and will be set up accordingly.

I love guns :)

Have no idea when I'll be finished, but until then, there's no limit set on number or type I'll buy. My wife may have other plans though. :scrutiny:

Finished! I'll never be finished!

As long as guns are still available and as long as I can continue to afford them then I will continue to collect until I'm too old to shoot them anymore.
