How many rounds did you shoot this year?
C'mon, give me a break! This year is only 2 days old and I haven't had a chance to get to the range yet.......
How many rounds did you shoot this year?
How many did you shoot? Just curious.
22 long rifle rim fire. Yes sir. That 22.What "22" are you talking about, exactly?
I feel bad for you man. I have been homeless and now I am disabled on a very restricted budget. I would like to just encourage you with this story. A few nights ago I was looking at the pictures of revolvers that were posted here by the folks. Their favorite guns. I can not and never will be able to afford a "nice gun" like the ones posted. I was lamenting that fact when I murdered a prayer that went like this,"God I will never be able to have even one of these beautiful guns...then I thought hey, 'God can do anything', so I said God you could put a nice 9mm in my hands within 24 hrs, heck you could put one in my hands in 12 hrs". I had the sense that he was going to answer my prayer. About 5 hrs later I saw a very poorly written post in Armslist for a Muzzle loader and a pistol that said $100 if you get them today, $150 if you wait till tomorrow. For the heck of it I answered the post and asked him if it was $100 a piece or for both. And what kind of pistol it was. He replied that it was $100 a piece and the pistol was a Norinco 9mm. I told him I wanted to see them so I drove right there (50 mi) The Muzzle loader was toast, very rusty, but the Norinco looked pretty good except for surface rust and being very dirty. So I bought the pistol. Got home and looked at my watch. It was 1PM. The prayer was at 4 am. That put it at 8 hrs to answer that prayer. I cleaned up the gun and it appears that it is nearly never fired. I figure maybe 100 rounds through it. Now I have a sweet 9mm that I really like. So my encouragement is this: God wants you to not only survive but he wants you to enjoy and praise him for the blessings. Have a great new year.Since I spent the vast majority of 2015 unemployed and almost homeless at several points, not enough. I think I fired about 500 rounds in all sorts of calibers all year.
22 long rifle rim fire. Yes sir. That 22.
I have discussed reloading 22 rimfire on several threads here so far. It is obviously a very involved process. i would be happy to explain more about it but don't have the time to type right now. In a nutshell, I saw a youtube video of a guy that bought a "kit" for reloading 22 rimfire. He was a very knowledgeable reloader. The best he could do was about 700fps while dramatically exceeding the specifications in the kit. So I took some of the ideas presented and started researching and experimenting. The I had to invent and make my own tools. (tools are different than any other reloading tools because the 22 rimfire bullet is the same diameter as the case making it impossible to crimp with presses. Another obvious difference is the rim fire primer. That part is covered in the kit which I did not purchase. Then there is "what powder to use"? No specs to look up on that. Long story short. My first 4 loads fired. #1 only had about 1/3 grain of powder and was probably traveling somewhere abound 300fps. I worked up incrementally and the 4th round was more powerful than factory ammo. Since then I have been loading them probably too hot. I haven't had a powder measure. I bought one and found out that I have been loading them with much too much powder. I am going to cut back to a "reasonable load" and work from there. (experimenting with primer has resulted in quite a few that didn't fire. I am not sure if I have those kinks worked out yet.Can you tell us more about the .22lr reloads?
