In the same vein as the "How many guns do you own", Poll here's another commonly asked question:

How many rounds do you have?

Fluctuates quite a bit but currently about 2,000 or 2.500.

I used to not keep much on hand. Not finding any 9mm, .45, or .223 of any of my preferred brands over several trips to the stores, I started stocking up so I can shoot whenever I want without worrying about when I'll get more.

    .22lr: 1,634
    .380 ACP: 40
    9mm: 1,033
    .38 Spl: 50
    22-250: 59
    7mm-08: 31
    .30-30: 130
    7.62x39mm: 100
    7.62x54R: 40
    .410: ~60 small game rounds + 3 buckshot + 5 slugs
    12 ga: 150 birdshot + 10 buckshot

Think I'm set, but could use more .22's, 7.62, and of course .380's. I can't find any .380 ammo that isn't ridiculously overpriced.

Gentlemen do not ask gentlemen how much ammo they have, how many guns they have, how much money they have, or whom they are or are not sleeping with.

I don't have the money for anything right now. It was a stretch just spending the $13 on a box of 9mm two weeks ago.

Again with the overlapping categories? Should we go over the concept of a poll one more time :)

About 6000, all different calibers. I had more, but I've been shooting more than I've been buying lately.

I think glockman was endorsed by BATFE to have this poll here so they can pick folks to be included in their list for "routine" house check.

These polls should always specify center fire vs rim fire. hell I've got 5000+ of .22lr (federal bulk pack) thats what 200 bucks worth of ammo?

2 guns, under100 rounds of ammo and I sleep with the same woman for 40 years. My truck cost $10,850 and I wrecked my bike running over another rider. Now send over the census people and I can take care of that too.

Not enough...plenty of 40 S&W but can't find any 38 Spec or 380 ACP practice ammo.

I see you didn't bother to google the terms "mutually exclusive" or "exhaustive" in regard to response sets...

    Gentlemen do not ask gentlemen...LMFAO I'm glad I'm a redneck.:D

I have enough to last several years if I don't shoot to much for fun. I went heavy on 22lr to keep the kids shooting targets. I also went heavy on .223 because it's fairly inexpensive and it's great for prariedogs. I tried to get several years worth for all of my other centerfire rifles. I mean several years worth of hunting. I will be able to keep these rifles zeroed and hunting for probably 3 years.

I have enough handgun ammo for at least 10 home invasions, depending on how many BG there are!!:neener:

Edit-I only have about 4 boxes of shotgun shells. This is where I'm really short.

Think of my sitaution this way.

    Old ammo box too small.

New 20mm surplus ammo box three times the capacity and will be filled soon.

Hmm, no amount is ever quite enough.
I know I have plenty of some, but given the problems of replacement, that "plenty" can be a skinny number.
I know I have not enough .30 carbine at all. But, that has been true since last fall.
