How much ammo do you have ?

I did an inventory last year and the count was 14000 or so IIRC. With the recent arrival of 1500 .223 and 3200 7.62X39 and the 1000 each of .45 and 9mm on order my tally should be at about 20,000+ now. If I can walk into my vault and the stockpile looks anything like Preacherman's then I'll know I'm pretty well set.

over 10k. I really couldn't give a good guess to within a few thousand unless I counted

Dude...if you can inventory your ammo, it's not enough.

I just sat down this week-end for a few minutes (OK, maybe 30 minutes) and loaded up 300 45 LC's because I already had the toolhead and shell plate in place

me- barely any. but my good buddy with the armory- take preacherman's pic and double it.
it's there jsut in case.
BUT- what the heck happens if this serial nmuber law passes? oh what a problem!!!
at least most of it is shotgun shells, but there are cases and cases of ammo and reload equipt

Not enough, indeedy

Sadly, I only have about 500 .308, 500 .22LR, and 500 7.62x39 :(. I don't earn enough money to both keep purchasing new weapons and have a several-thousand-round arsenal. I don't yet have a gunsafe to keep thing in! :banghead:

at least a thousand rounds of several different calibers (of course it's much cheaper when bought by the thousand)

+1 on HSO... IF I had as much as Preacherman, I'd be living on the 1st floor instead of the 4th... (after busting through 3 floors) :D

~2000 .22
~1500 9mm
~1000 .45
~1000 .223
~500 12 ga (various)

I'm not sure how many firearms I own much less how much ammo is in there. Last time I cleaned out my truck; I got over a thousand rounds of several calibers just rolling around loose here and there. There were calibers in there that I don't own firearms for...that none of my associates own firearms for. :confused:

not enough , but enough for one of my neighbors who followed me into the toybox to say "holy ****!!" glad I live 2 doors down instead of next door .. what was that one line better call the fire dept and tell them to hold off till after the crater cools?? :what: :what: :eek:

My last inventory, (yes, I keep my ammo inventoried, same with my stash of food), I had over 5K rounds of ammo, the vast majority centerfire rounds.

I.G.B.

I'd have to go around to a number of undisclosed locations and do inventory to get an accurate count, so I don't exactly know.

I believe some of y'all have entirely too much ammunition. That stuff is dangerous, ya know. I would be happy to dispose of any 7.92 Mauser, 7.62x39, or 7.62x51 NATO(Sorry, no .308 disposal is offered unless one of you kind fellows will donate an M1A or a FAL), safely and efficiently. :evil:

.308, 30.06, .223, 7.62X54R, 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 9 mm, .40 cal, 45 cal, .357 mag, 44 mag, 45/70, .22, .380, and .32 auto. I think that covers it. 7.63 X 39 will likely be added by the end of the year.

Hell, I am just starting to try to stock up. It is an uphill battle. I just bought a case of 30.06. I think .45, .223, and some .308 are the only other that I have any decent amount of.

Just about to order a "pile" of .45, so I counted this afternoon to see what else I should tack on to the ammoman...

7.62x51mm (SA, AU, Port) ~1600 rds
7.62x39mm (Wolf) ~800 rds
5.56x45mm (Olympic crap and some LC) ~600 rds
.40 S&W (Win Ranger) ~600 rds
9x19mm (WWB) ~200 rds
8mm Mauser (Yugo) ~200 rds
.45 LC ~60 rds
.45 ACP 16 rds :eek:

Funny thing is, I don't own anything in .40 S&W. Guess I'll put some more 9mm on that order too...

I don't keep all that much ammo.Maybe 200 rnds of .38 and .45. There is almost 600 rnds of .30 carbine and about 100 rnds of.30-30.I see almost 200 rnds of shotgun shells and 1000 rnds of .22s.You just NEED a lot of .22s. There are small ammounts of other stuff but they don't matter...I don' have guns for those. :eek: Writing it down sounds like an OK ammountbut looking at it...looks skimpy. My hat is off to Preacherman...impressive! and in order!
Mark.

Hmmm...

1000 of 5.56x45
400 of 9mm
350 of .45 (or is it 350 of 9mm and 400 of .45?)
~150 of .40
1000 of .22LR
18 of 12 ga. (10 00 buck, 8 slugs.)

I'm moving into a new house this weekend. The linen closet will not be used for linen now that I have more room to work with. :D

to put this in perspective, i have 330 rds m855 and m856 ball and tracer on hand. at home i have, at last count,
3100rds 7.62x39
4000rds 5.56
1000 .40
1000 .45
1000 9x18 (oops, but the s/o has a makarov)
250 00buck in 12ga
250 slug in 12ga
miscellaneous .22, .38, .357 and 9x19
this reminds me to order 9x19, thanks.

Not Enough

(86) 9mm Ranger +p+
(50) 9mm American Eagle FMJ
(400) 9mm Cor-Bon DPX
(250) 12g 00 Buck
(320) .223 American Eagle FMJ

Not nearly enough. Plus, I don't own a shotgun. :banghead:

PreacherMan I envy you however:

I will work progressively down

50 cal BMG 150 rnds
30/06 500 rnds
12 gauge 100 rnds
20 gauge 300 rnds
22 mag 250 rnds
22 lr way to many to count (I think they are stuck between my couch cushions :D )

9mm= 1240
.380= 60
.45= 2050
12ga= 1380
20ga= 1060
.22= 1800
.223= 3100
.308= 3620
I would get more but i don't have room for it. What is surprising is how fast I go through it. And it isn't getting any cheaper to buy.
