How much ammo do you have stored in your home, safe or gun room?
Just wanted to see how much ammo everyone here has onhand.
Both pistol, shotgun and rifle.

500 rounds of 7.62X39
~100 rounds of .270win
~500 rounds of .22lr
0 rounds of 9mm :what: (ran out yesterday)
~100 12ga shells loaded with birdshot

that accounts for all the guns in my house

I think I have more than that in my glove compartment..... :D

yeah, I know, I can't win. lol I have enough to be labeled as a nut with an arsenal if I'm ever in the news for some reason, but not enough to get any THR cred :p

Pistol:
.38spl - ~200 rounds
.40S&W - ~150 rounds
.44mag - 100 rounds
9mm - 200 rounds (but nothing to shoot it with)
.45 - 50 rounds (but nothing to shoot it with)
Total ~700 rounds pistol ammo

Rifle:
.22lr - 700-800 rounds
6.5x55 Swedish Mauser - ~30 rounds loaded ammo, ~200 pieces of brass, 100 Barnes XLC bullets, and the dies to load the bullets on backorder (should be here Monday, along with powder and primers)
8x57JS - ~ 75 rounds
Total ~200 centerfire rounds once I've loaded the X bullets

No shotgun ammo, as I don't have a shotgun.

Personally I'd like to move the decimal points out at least one spot for most of those catagories. 1000 loaded rounds for each rifle caliber, and 5000 for each pistol caliber would be ideal. Soon as I have the time I'll load up all of my 6.5mm brass, and then get started building up supplies of .44mag ammo. Probably won't load my own .40 or .38 until I step up to a progressive reloading press. I'll have to meet up with my friend that has the suppressed MP-5 (and an Uzi) to get rid of that 9mm. If I ever get that Sig P245 I'll have a use for the .45 ammo, but until then I'll probably donate it to either a THR shoot, or to the guy that let me shoot his full-auto Tommy.

200 rounds of Austrialian 7.62x51mm F4 ball. Half in magazines, half on stripper clips, in two bandoleers.
175(last I counted) rounds of Ecuadorian 7.92x57mm. 100 rounds on strippers, in the two empty Aussie bandoleers. Rest in the boxes them came in.
12 rounds of Wolf 7.62x39. 10 on a stripper clip. 2 lost in a pocket, behind a dresser or the like. :neener:

That total above for 8mm doesn't include the Turk surplus I've still got. That would add a good 300-400 rounds. I forgot about it since it's corrosive, and I just don't feel like dealing with the pain of cleaning after shooting it. I might start shooting it again if I get around to loading up some David Tubbs Final Finish System bullets (they're coated with an abrasive to fire-lap the barrell). The bore is pitted enough that it's really hard to get the it really clean and I'm just paraniod enough that I fear it'll rust if I don't get it squeaky clean. Besides being corrosive it is also about the dirtiest ammo out there which only compounds the problem.

I've also got about 2000 pulled 8mm bullets (FMJ's) that I'll eventually load up.

Put it this way: If the Alien zombies landed on my block, I could hold them off for a good looooooooong time, BY MYSELF.

Hmm, don't have much compared to others since I haven't gone ammo shopping and shoot most of what I buy on a given day but...

.223:
30 rounds "whitebox" Winchester 45gr JHP
40 rounds Remington UMC 55gr FMJ

12ga:
5 Winchester Super X 2-3/4" rifled slugs
5 Remington 2-3/4" 000 buckshot
15 Federal 7.5 shot
5 Federal Powershok 3" magnum rifled slugs
15 Federal Hydrashok 2-3/4" rifled slugs

I barely have over 100 rounds, total *ashamed* :(
I guess thats a quasiarsenal to the media.

Amateurs, all of ye! :D

How much ammo do I have?

Not enough.
.40~750
.45~750
.22lr~200
9mil~50
12 gauge~50 rounds of 00, 50 slugs
7.62x54r~20

Good grief. That's shameful. I'm gonna go sit on the corner with a sign, "will work for ammo."

You know you've got it made when you have your own storage cabinet that looks like a snapshot from the local gun store's racks.

I could pack all mine in a shoe. Time to pass on the next gun and splurge on some ammo.

Whew....

I thought I was the only one worried about the Alien Zombies..... :uhoh:

.223 is expensive though, 500 rnds for 80$ (wolf) if im willing to order it, or 40 rnds of crap ammo for 14$ (winchester varmint), 20 rnds of good ammo for 17$ (hydrashok).

Probably five or six hundred rounds of .308, between surplus and commercial.

1400 or so of 7.62x54R.
2000 of .30-06 on garand clips, and another 80 or so in commercial boxes.
It's hard to keep track, especially if you buy off the shelf instead of in bulk. Probably 500 or so .223 bargain boxes that I've put on slightly rusty stripper clips, and another 100 in boxes. 8x57, 8x57JRS, 6.5x55, 7mm Mauser, .40-82 WCF, .405 Win, .32-20, and .38-40, probably fifty or so rounds of each. Maybe 40 rounds of .300 Savage. Handgun ammo, I've no idea. I know I'm low on .38 long Colt and .38 S&W. .50 AE, one box of the speer lawmans. .41 mag, one case commercial reloads, various boxes good stuff, call it 1,200 rounds. A few hundred rounds of .45 ACP, less 9mm, less still .40 S&W... 200 or so 9x18's, maybe 200 .38/.357's, 50 .44-40's...
Good lord, I have too many calibers to feed.

Let's see... :scrutiny:
~700 7.62x39mm
~80 .40 S&W
~50 9x17

and...

625 .22LR
40 6.5x55 Swede
50 .45
80 .223
85 .32 ACP

... and I don't own any guns in those last few calibers! :uhoh:

I'm not exactly sure but it's starting to pile up. I'd say >500rds (each) of at least 3 handgun calibers plus smaller quantities of some others, a couple cases of 12ga and >5000rds of 22LR...

I figure ammunition will soon become illegal here in SoKalifornistan so might as well stock-up.
