If I didn't work at a school, it would be close to 100%.

I also live in a "good neighborhood" but somehow that didn't prevent a guy from jumping out of the woods and trying to abduct a 19 year-old girl two blocks from my home. Nor did it stop the armed robbery at the gas station a mile from here.

Not being out late at night also is no guarantee. Just ask the woman who was robbed at gunpoint at high noon at the nearby up-scale shopping area a few miles from here. That was in an adjacent suburb considered even higher class than mine.

I got up this morning and put a mousegun in my back pocket on the way to the coffee pot. Had a few cups and then got ready for my day, which means I went from my "coffee gun" to my regular carry (9mm). I didn't go anyplace more dangerous than the recycling center, the local farmers market and my backyard...but you never know. The whole reason I got a permit was so I could have a gun as much of the time as possible. So aside from the odd trip to a post office or other government building I have one on me.

I put 25-50%. I own and run a tree service and it's pretty much impossible to carry a handgun while you're wearing a climbing saddle and gear or dragging brush. My pistol is always available in the truck however and I wear it whenever conditions allow. Most of the time I carry it's not because I think I'll need it but because of principle. A right unused is a right potentially lost.

The only time I'm not carrying is when I'm not allowed to, either by law or the confines of my job. That's not to say that I don't have a gun nearby; I have a gun safe secured in the car for times when I have to, say, go into the courthouse or the post office. As soon as I'm outside again, however, the gun is out of the safe and back at the 2'oclock position.

The only time I forsee needing to go to a post office is to renew a passport, and I'm pretty sure I can do that by mail-in, so I won't.

My limiting factor is that I go onto military posts a lot, so if I know I will be going I have to leave it home.

I'll put it this way, I carry 100% when I am legally allowed.

I am only unarmed if I enter a facility where carrying is prohibited. Right now this only happens when I visit the Post Office. (And even then I park off site so I can keep my gun in the car. This way I am armed as soon as I get back to my car). This means that my carry rate is at least 99.9%. If I leave my home, I'm armed. I grab my keys, wallet, pocket knife, watch, and pistol. I don't even think about it any more.

I guessed between 25-50% of the time overall. A large part of my time spent in public is for school and work, where I can't legally carry. On my own time though I'd guess around 80% of the time.
I carry in my home quite often as well.

I work in a courthouse, so between the hours of 9-5, i can't carry. I do carry about 90% of the time that I'm on my time.

It's up there around 90% for me too. The only places that I don't carry, are places that I can't carry. I carry everywhere else.

I carry when I feel there is a better than 25% chance I may have to defend myself. Otherwise, the gun is in my vehicle. My guess is I carry about 25% of the time, but have a gun available probably 90% of the time outside of courthouse time and so forth.

I can't carry at work, and since a significant portion of my waking hours are spent there, I selected the "25% or less" option. On the weekends, all day long and everywhere not prohibited under state law.

If I have pants on, there is a gun on my belt or in my pocket.

If I am at home and don't have pants on, I have a Seecamp in my bathrobe.

If I am in bed, there is a gun within my reach and another within reach of my wife on the other side of the bed.

Other than that, I'm usually unarmed, and it's been that way for 46 years.

I used to "selectively carry", but ever since we had our house broken in I've been carrying whenever I can. I carry pepper spray & practice combative martial arts for those times I legally can't, such as at work.

99.9% of the time, I have even started using FedEx and and UPS stores for my business to avoid the post office.

over 75% of the time. closer to 100%. i disarm at home 'cause i have a youngster, but there's always a gun within easy reach.

sometimes, i carry where i'm not supposed to... like today when i carried at the mall. and the mall says no guns. which is a misdemeanor.

didn't realize i'd done anything wrong until after i left though... it hit me on the ride home.

I never carry when I'm in bed, but it *is* on the night stand. Every waking moment except when I'm showering I wear a pistol. I've been doing it so long, I can't not do it. It would be like going out with no pants. Sorry if that made for an uncomfortable mental image :D

When I first got my CPL (about eight years ago), I carried everywhere except work, grounds for immediate dismissal.

Lately, I must admit to selectively carrying, about 50% of the time.
