Nice gun.

For those who didn't understand igor's post, that's a Swedish song. :)

Steve,
You can come over after and we'll have some lutefisk. :barf:
I don't think they eat lutefisk in Sweden, that's a Norwegian thing. It's basically dried fish, mostly cod I think, that has been soaked in caustic soda for a few days. You know, the stuff you pour down clogged drains.

The Swedes have something called surströmming, which is herring that has fermented for several weeks. A completely different thing.

As a Norwegian I consider myself an authority on lutefisk. You spelled it wrong. It's not :barf: . It's :barf: :barf: :barf:

:D

Syrströmming is something you can smell 50 kilometers against winter storm and 200 meters through Nordic granite bedrock.

I still always once and a while wake up in the middle of the night sweating cold sweat. If you were looking for the most inhumane and cruel sadistic chemical weapon of mass destruction, you should focus on Sweden. :D

I stand corrected. I have had it several times, and I agree that it is truly horrid. My grandfather (a Swede) loved it and my grandmother (a Norwegian) would make it during Christmas. I aften wonder why you never see Norwegian restaurants outside of Norway. ;)

Well since the Board was down, I had to go to the range and hang out with Spiff (who bought me a yummy Egg Mc Muffin too!)...after much fiddling, finally got it sighted in on windage (loosen front screw, loose base screw and tighten the other)...elevation is about 2" high at 100...

Best group with PMC 140 grain Sierra Match Kings, three shots, 100 yards, approx 1/2 inch!!!! And have target to prove it! And witness! Now need to find some loads to duplicate that!

Whose got some super uber accurate loads for this baby

Here it is

A 96 year old rifle shooting a "best" group of 1/2" at 100 yds.
What was the "worst" group (once you got the sights tweaked right) and the average group?
Over on Parallax Bill's site I've read stories about shooting water filled milk jugs at 600 yds + w/ open sights with one of those old Swedes from the prone position. Took a couple of sighters for proper hold.

Ja, it's von amazink gewher I'm tinking.

Congrats on your Swede Sniper! Wow, 1/2".

Had a M96 short rifle floated/glass bedded/scoped/recrowned. When it was in a vise ( I can't hold it that steady) we got .78" group at 117 yds. Barrell is # 2. Those Swedes are something else.

The worst groups were 7 and 8 shot with cheap blastng ammo running 2 1/2 inches...ran out of the good ammo....

Those 140gr MatchKings work great.

You got any spare 6.5x55 brass up there? :D

(Even that AG-42B in the picture above goes sub-MOA with my 140gr MatchKing or A-Max handloads)

If you have trouble finding more of that PMC/Sierra fodder, let me know via PM. ;)
