I just got my C&R.

I never thought of mailing copies of my C&R to mail order companies and the like. Couldn't we save some stamp money and E-mail the info and a copy of our license?

Sorry, but that's not legal for firearm transfers. 01FFL's have the option of FAXing a copy but their info can be verified on the BATF website. 03's are not in that database.

When the information packet comes in the mail you will know. The mail box will be drooping on the post and probably a back strain from carrying it into the house.

You got that right. It looked like a phone book, or a Sears Catalog in that envelope.

(Does Sears even have a catalog anymore?)

To those still waiting. For what it's worth I sent mine in January 28. Got it yesterday. What's that? About five weeks give or take?

Does a C&R offer any benefit/purpose if you have no intention to ever buy a "curio" or "relic" firearm?

In other words, can it allow you to get discounts on other stuff, as well? Just wondering, as I've seen numerous mentions of C&R, but have no want nor need for older firearms. Do companies let you slide by with a C&R discount on normal accessories, or something?
