I just bought this SA XDm 45 last week and had it to the range over the weekend. I had a chance to compare it with my S&W M&P 45 Mid size and so far, I like it at least as well. The M&P was just a wee bit more accurate at 50 ft (believe it or not) but the XDm was more comfortable to shoot. It swallowed everything from 230 FMJ to Golden Sabres, to 230 LRN and even 200 LSWC. Tough to call one a winner over the other as my M&P also eats anything as well.

I plan to use the M&P for my car gun and the XDm will serve night stand duty with the Streamlight TLR-3 tac light. I really like this combo as it provides the basic lighting I want (no laser or strobe) while it's extra light and doesn't protrude past the pistols muzzle. (stays cleaner that way).

I'd recommend this XDm any day. :)

I've had my XDm 45 for about 2 months and love it; it shoots easy and is very accurate; I had an XD 40 a few years ago and it was also a great gun but my daughter decided she liked it and took it!

Enjoy the new 45

Got one. Had it for just over a year now. Congrats on getting yours and welcome to the XDm .45 ACP club! ;)

Pretty nice, I wouldn't mind having one of the sub compacts. I've heard nothing but good things, never shot one myself though.

Let me start by saying that I really, really dislike big, clunky, box-like, plastic handguns.
With that said, I absolutely love my friend's XDs in 9, .40, and .45. They are very accurate and pleasant to shoot. I doubt I'll ever get one, but I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I don't have an "M" but if they are anything like my old Xd that has over 20k through it, they are good to go in my book. Nice TLR-3, how do you like it? I am currently conducting T&E on the TLR-2 and 3. I plan to run the TLR-3 hard this coming weekend on several platforms. Thanks for posting the pics.
