I used to have one of those that looked like a Python...or maybe it was an N-Frame I forget.

Good show, Rogelio. I'm impressed with the injuries you inflicted with the baton. I'd agree, though, I would be more comfortable with a gun for a companion. I wonder why the second bad guy stayed there to suffer the air pistol's fury. Lest anyone think that the assailants "only" had brass knucks, see the article below which refers to a boy killed by another boy with brass knuckles.

good job, man. gotta love the asp. as far as co2 pistols for defense, my opinion is they're better than nothing but the co2 usually leaks out over time if the cartridge is punctured and left in the pistol. also look at this: full auto bb gun

Now for some reason I wish I still had my old N-frame CO2 pistol....and for that matter my Crosman 760 Pumpmaster which I sold at a rummage sale for $5.. :what:

How would a 7.62x25 (like the CZ52) fall into the mix? Legal or illegal there? Very interesing on the 9mm. Does that mean that 9mm is fine as long as it doesn't say Luger or Parabellum? Also, how does it work if you want to go there and bring your own weapons along (assuming they meet all of the regulations)?

Good job!

More proof that we revert to basic training ... and that people behave the way they believe they will when they think they've been shot. Guy undoubtedly thought you had mortally wounded him.

Glad to hear the cops dished out some prompt punishment.

I've just taken to carrying a collapsing baton for a variety of reasons:
- having several years of Kali training (stick fighting)
- finally in a jurisdiction that allows it
- broad range of force, from gentle persuasion to lethal blows
- want to protect my oft-attacked puppy from larger dogs without killing them if possible
- gun carry is legally awkward (sometimes legal/employment consequences far outweigh possibility of physical harm)

First guy was carrying brass knuckles ( I think they weren´t made of brass, maybe some other material beacause they looked like an inox finish) and got 2 broken ribs, a "fisura"
I think the word in English is "fissure." Pretty similar. ;)

oh, yeah, i want to congratulate you on your shooting. 5 out of 8 rounds? that's outstanding! especially on a small target like the face. i imagine the fn five seven would probably be legal there and no stupid ap ammo law either, i bet. still expensive.

Sounds like 9x23 is just the thing then...

Sounds like a place where 9x23 would be perfect....or .38 Super.

Gun laws in Perú are quite simple:

You can own both handguns and long guns when you are 18 (that is, if you can pay for them!!! They are pretty expensive when you realize that a Bersa 380 goes for 330 USD and that the minimum wage worker makes 420 soles a month! -1 usd = 3.34 soles-) you have to apply for a permit and pass qualification every year.Permits are so-so expensive and can take a month to be granted. But renovation of the permit (given that you pass qualification) is a 3 day thing. You apply for a permit for each gun you own, so you pay for the gun at the shop but don´t take it home, it goes to the DIGESCAMEC (peruvian BATF) and there you apply for the permit for that specific gun.Thay will give you the gun when you get your permit.

You can own handguns in any caliber up to .380 acp, but you can not own any caliber that has the denomination "LUGER","PARABELLUM",MAGNUM".Revolvers go just up to .38 spl

Long guns, up to .270
Shotguns up to 12 gauge -10ga is outlawed-

No automatic or select fire weapons

Only FMJ or LRN projectiles

And the "only" cool thing here is that we do not have any kind of ammo capacity regulations. If you find a gun that can hold 2 million rounds, its okay while it complies with everything above.

I hope that helped you understand the gun laws of my country.

don't think the .38 super would be allowed.. many LEO/Govt. think this round is a magnum round.. .. it's velocity and report does not do much to dispel that notion either..

Kind of confirms the "any gun better than none" saying! I don't remember anyone coming out on top with just a pellet gun. Top notch shooting! :D
Mark.

First is Rogelio still posting? Haven't seen anything from him lately.

Second, we need a zombie smily for posts like this that get raised from the dead. ;)
