What would they be? For the record, I'm talking about personal favorites, not resale value. I'm also going with practical guns that I hope to get one day, not mini guns or belt fed machine guns or anything like that. This is supposed to be a fun thread though, so it's up to you. I know that some of these are a stretch, but nonetheless my 10 would be:

1. Colt M16(with .22LR and .308 uppers)

2. Arsenal AK-47

3. Colt Python

4. Remington M40 .308 with an Unertl scope

5. Sig P226

6. H&K USP45 Tactical(with good suppressor)

7. Les Baer SRP

8. IMI Uzi

9. Remington 870

10. H&K MP5

Feel free to include honorable mentions and have fun!

I'd opt for utility. I'd buy five sets of two for those five I believe would be the most useful. Duplicates of each: two shotguns, two .22LR rifles, two .357 Magnum heavy framed revolvers, two full size 9mm semi autos and two .308 Winchester bolt guns. Having spent 32 years in the nuclear power industry, I've come to believe in and trust both redundancy and security in depth.

This thread probably belongs in "General" since the OP is looking at all types of firearms.

Sorry that I posted this in the wrong section. As you can see, it was 4am so I just wanted to get it posted. I guess it can be moved if a moderator thinks it should be, but I actually posed it in this section because more people are on here. I honestly expected a few pages of replies by now! Hopefully you guys are just thinking about it or something. Feel free to put anything that you want. If you can't think of 10 and just want to list 5 go for it. I wasn't just talking about pistols either, but if that's what you want to list that's cool.

A few honorable mentions for me would be the Smith & Wesson 686, the model 29, a Glock 19, a 10/22, and an M1 Garand. According to my calculations, it would also cost me around $20,000 to get most of what I want, not counting ammo or accessories.
