If you could have one shotgun, one pistol and one rifle, what would it be?

Shotgun: My Mossberg 500 20 ga.
Rifle: My 1964 Ishapore Lee Enfield (I only chose it over the K31 because I can stand to fire more rounds out of it in one sitting)
Handgun: My Springfield Armory 1911 MilSpec.

Wife:
Shotgun - H&R Topper 20 ga.
Rifle - Marlin Camp .45
Pistol - Ruger MKII

Myself:
Shotgun - Remington 870 w/ 20" cyl. bore; 26" smoothbore; & 24" rifled barrels.
Rifle - Marlin 1894S .44 magnum
Pistol - S&W 629 ClassicDX...
.
..OR...

Shotgun - same as above -
Rifle - Norinco SKS
Pistol - Colt 1911A1...

...OR...

Shotgun - same as above -
Rifle - Marlin 336 .30-30
Pistol - S&W 586

(OP, I wish you'd've worded the initial question as, "Along with your .22 rifle,..."

Registered M16 (it did say any gun...) in 5.56mm with a middy 16" upper
Benelli M4 super 90 with extended tube and collapsible stock
Quality 1911 in .45 (and 30 round trench mags!!!)

Of course most of this is illegal here in Kali, but i can still dream.

In my case it would be the following:

Glock 17
Mossberg 590
AR-15 in 5.56/.223

These are dictated by my area. I like carrying lots of ammo but I also feel that I don't need the longer range of a heavier rifle round. I am in a suburban and urban area with occasional open spaces such as empty lots or parks. But nothing large enough that distance is a major factor. However I do think the extra penetration would be nice.

My reason for the Glock 17 is that it works and is reliable. It is also durable and able to take a beating. Not to mention I prefer 9mm as I am more accurate with it and can shoot it faster then other calibers and it holds 17+1 rounds in the gun. It is also easy to work on and concealable if need be.

And I love my Mossberg 590. I have the model with a heat shield and I am going to put a light as well as a pistol grip on it. I prefer the location of the safety on it over the Remington 870 since I am a left handed shooter.

Shotgun: Ithaca 37 (featherlight)
Pistol: 1911 (of course)
Rifle: the SCAR 17... maybe...

I feel like those three are the best balance of performance and appearance, so I would count on them in any SHTF scenario and enjoy looking at them as the world burns around me.

Rifle - AR-15
Shotgun - Remington 870 12g
Handgun - CZ SP-01 9mm, although a S&W 686 .357 magnum would probably be the better choice.

This thread is awesome! Ok I own all of the guns that I would want, but I'll specify anyway :D

Rifle - Saiga .308 Converted - I want reliability and power in a carbine package
Shotgun - Mossberg 500 12 gauge Persuader with Butler Creek folding stock - Very compact package on a reliable platform
Handgun - S&W 4046 .40 S&W - Like all 3rd generation S&W autos, this thing is built like a tank and could probably be run over by one and still operate just fine.

I attached some photos because I do like showing them off a little bit

Shotgun: My Remington 870 12ga 26" w/laminate wood stock (Best balancing 870 I have held)
Pistol: My Glock 23 .40 S&W w/trijicon night sights, smooth trigger & NY-1 spring, Vickers Slide Stop & Mag release, and plug. (Best blend of size, weight, firepower, and accuracy I have found--also the FBI's issue pistol.)
Rifle: My DPMS Bull 20 with Ergo grip and Leupold 3-9 Mil-Dot. My handloads go into 0.75" groups. (5 rounds at 100 yards)

1911 gov't 45ACP (current favorite is a Burns Custom 1911)
Remington 700 LTR - 308
Remington 870 Police (add longer barrels for hunting purposes as needed)

Tough one.
Rifle. My T3 6.5x55 Stainless, hits everything I aim at and kills everthing I hit. + alot of fun to shoot.
Pistol. This one is easy a XDm .40 4.5" barrel, drops badguys, and angry feral hogs.
Shotgun. Banelli Vinci 12 ga

Ok. Hate having to choose, but here goes:

Kimber 1911, standard barrel length. Nothing fancy on it except tritium sites. Love it. Thing has a mind of it's own. Always hits the target no matter who shoots it.

O/U 20 guage. Own the CZ Wingshooter. very happy with it. Would like nice Italian safe queen down the road. Franchi, is the one I like the best.

Sig 556 Swat Patrol. Minimal cleaning. Like that part.

OK, I'll play.

My Winchester 97 pump 12 gauge
My Winchester 94 .30-30
My Ruger single six .22 LR/.22 Mag

...with the conversion cylinder I get two handguns, not one.
Ammo availability is assured for the other two.

If I could be assured of a supply of percussion caps, I would go with percussion guns because if the end of the world as we know it occurs, I could make my own blackpowder and cast my own projectiles.

But that's probably another thread.

A used Stevens 311 SxS 12 ga. w/ double triggers, a Remington 700 in .243, and a Ruger Single Six (.22/.22 Mag), namely for hunting.

Same shotty for HD, but switch out to an AK and a .38 Special for the other two.
