Well if you are talking having any three guns that I could want, I would choose:

1) German Luger in .45 Auto, and experimental model from WWII (yes this is one of the most coveted pistols in the world, a high priced item).

2) The most expensive Beretta shotgun that is currently in prodiction, whatever it may be.

3) My Beretta 70S in .22LR.

Then I could sell the first two and live pretty contented with just the 70S.

All the best,
Glenn B

Ok, I'll play

1) AR15
a)Carbine flat-top upper with a red dot site and I'm good for 3 gun comp.
b)20 inch standard upper, floated barrel with a 1 in 7 twist, swap slings and drop in a weight and I've got a rifle for high power competition.
c)a .22 conversion kit, and I can plink. Add a scope, and I'd be set for the Sportsman's Team Challenge.
d)Yet another upper in something like .50 Beowulf and I've got a hunting gun. (Not totally sure on the legalities of this.)
e)Yet another upper, and I've got a .50 BMG

2)CZ75, 1911, or Glock
a)standard slide and I've got a 9mm or .45ACP gun suitable for carry, HD and 3gun
b)Conversion kit and I've got a .22 plinker.

3)Remington 1100*
a)Short barrel, tube extension & surefire forend for HD
b)Long barrel for clay games, and if the fancy ever strikes me, hunting.

*Not sure about this one. Shotguns are probably the most versatile weapons out there, but I rarely shoot them. I'd be sorely tempted to dump the 1100 for:

3a)Hammerli SP20- Convertable from .22 LR to .32 SW, suitable for NRA style or International style Bullseye

870 for clays, bird hunting, and buggers who enter my house with ill intent.

AK for rifle type plinking fun, and deer/general rifle hunting.

Glock 19 for carry gun and fun handgun plinking.

Browning Hi-Power, Remington Marine Magnum, AK.

And a few million rounds/shells to go with them.

Lucky for me, I have them:

1. HK USP Compact .45ACP in Stainless Steel finish and Night Sights

2. DSA SA58 FAL with 18.5" bbl, Leupold Mark 4 1-3x14mm CQ/T variable Red Dot in Israelie pattern wood trim OR DSA SA58 FAL with 21" bbl, Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10x40mm LR/T M3 Illuminated Reticule with synthetic furniture, free-float bbl and a Versa-Pod.

3. Mossberg 590 persuader or HK/Fabarm Tactical 12g in carbon Fiber skin. (though an 870 Marine Magnum would match the Hk hehe).

I have the rifles, not the scope (have cheaper versions, getting the better optics soon), I have the Mossy, looking at picking up the Fabarm, The HK is my carry piece.

OK, OK...I was gonna reply with 1. my fantasy list and 2. my reality list, but then I saw Myself's answer...

Couldn't have put it better....myself. :D

1. SIG P226 in 9mm

2. Colt, Springfield, or Kimber 1911

3. Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40-Watt range

Love that: "3. Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40-Watt range" :D

Based off of the world went to hell theory.....

6 inch Ruger GP100 357 easy to find rounds (shoots .38 or .357)
Steven Savage 20 gauge side by side (bird and rabbit)
HK USP .45 (should last a long time)

I'd want all the versatility I could get.

So I'd have to go with an AR-15, due to the many caliber uppers I could get for it. It's a fine rifle in "just" 223, too. For the same reason, I'd get a compact, alloy framed 1911, and I'd get an accurate, pocket .22 autoloader. Anything that the shotgun does that a rifle or pistol can't do, I can do without. Birds land sometime, someplace, you know. I'd rather quietly take them with a .22 rifle than make all that noise.

My Three

1.) M1 Garand - a classic, but think I need to look into an AR since everyone talks so highly of them.

2.) Ithica 12 ga - versatility

3.) Springfield or Colt 1911 in .45 auto - another classic

OK, I'll play too

I too will have to go with a 12gauge drilling over 30'06... birds and venison

Hate to copy, but I'd also go with a 4" .357 Smitty

And a good AR

1. Bushmaster AR 15 - 16" Barrel
2. "Riot Gun" Either Remington 870 or Winchester 1300
3. Colt 1911A1 .45 Auto

CZ 452 rifle in .22LR.
Tikka T3 rifle in .308.
G30 in .45 ACP.

I've a .22LR conversion for the G30, but that could be considered "cheating" given the 3 gun limit.

If this was a carry it on your back, SHTF scenario I would swap the CZ for a Ruger SS Hunter which would allow shooting either .22LR or .22 WMR.

Only 3 Guns - What The F*ck - Guess I'd keep these 3

AR-15, 16" barrel, collapable stock

Remington 870 18" barrel, 7 round mag

Kimber Custom TLE II .45

Guess I'd have to dump the Ruger .40, Berreta 92 & 22LR conversion and the AR Match Grade ... dam that's 2 of the wifes guns ? :uhoh:
