If you could only own one Sig which would it be? Please exclude the 1911 style and masquito models. I'm talking about the the traditional Sigs like the 226, 229, 239, 220, 238, 232 and thier varients.

What variant? caliber? finish?:banghead:

For practical use: A 9mm P226 w/ a threaded barrel. It's probably my favorite high-capacity pistol.

If I was just getting a free Sig: The P226 X-Six PPC.

I also like the 220 and 239, but would be fine replacing those with a 1911 and a CCO 1911 as far as size and concealability goes.

I've only handled the P226's and the P229's.

I'd take the P226, the P229 felt too big/fat for my hands.

free is the only way I could afford a sig

I'll take a p226 blackwater tactical.I just found this on the sig site and its what I like about the sct,the platinum elite and the original black water all rolled into one sweet package.

I want a P238 and at least one of the 1911s. Why exclude the 1911s? They are beautiful guns.

At one point I had a P220ST, a P226 X-Five Competition, and a P6. I sold the X-Five since I can shoot the 220 just as well, if not better, than I could shoot it. If I could only keep one that I have now it would be the 220 hands down.

I have owned railed and non-railed P226s in 9mm and 40S&W, railed and non-railed P220s in 45ACP, a P239 in 40S&W, and P6s (P225) in 9mm.

If I could only have one, it'd be the P225/P6.

For me it would be a toss up between the P226 and P229 in 357SIG/.40. The P226 actually feels better in my hand, but I usually have a P229 in my holster.

Now that I'm thinking while I'm typing here, make it the P226. That little extra barrel length pumps the velocity up. (13 - 357SIG 125 gr. GD's running at 1525fps ):)

I prefer the stock DA guns with night sights. It just makes things a lot simpler in the long run.

You didn't list the 250. 3 grip sizes, 3 frame sizes and 4 calibers. My wife likes small and I use the medium grip. She shoots 9mm and I am getting the .357 chamber for the same gun. Two guns in one! Easy switch and less than buying two guns.

Afford a used Sig? Some members may prefer a new pistol. Used works too! Like the P225, then consider a P6...:D

I only have 1 sig and it's a 229 elite in .40. Awesome gun - great trigger, just feels solid in the hand and it handles .40 very nicely - not as snappy as my M&P in .40. Never had a malfunction with it.

To me it's a little big for a carry gun - but I would certainly use it as a home defense gun.

No disrespect intended, but why would I only want to own 1 Sig? I have 2 currently: a P220 Compact and a P239/357sig. The P239 is used, came with 2 mags (one had never been used at all) and is just plain wonderful. I have since bought 4 more used police mags (also never used) from Top Gun Supply for $24ea. Not much really needs to be said about the P220...
I also owned a Mosquito and had zero problems with it out of the box. I sold it to a friend (so I can still shoot it occasionally) but am not really interested in shooting a 22LR. I bought it because everyone kept saying that I had to own a 22. Okay, so I owned a 22 and checked that one off the list.
