If you were to move to a PRO-GUN state, which one?

VERMONT !!!! they have no stupid gun laws. you can carry concealed with no permit. but thats the creme de la creme. we have it pretty good here in kentucky. there's actuall cases of people defending themselves, loved ones, innocent persons, or home & property with a firearm, and not spending a night in jail, or even losing there firearm. and on top of that you can have fun with guns to (hunting, clays, targets) and most people around don't care. as long as your safe, it's all good. :) kentucky's hard to beat.

Best State

North Carolina people do not seem all that intimidated by guns, especially on the eastern side. I think that is one of the best things to look into - how accustomed is the population to seeing, using guns. There are states where the gun laws are very relaxed, and yet people are still very sensitive to weapons, and not as many of the young people are raised around them. North Carolinians seem to have more gun clubs than other states I have lived in. I wish it were the case everywhere! Also, there are some states where the average gun owner is less accustomed to seeing "military" weapons. For instance, when I lived in Ohio, there were rural people (and I have nothing against Ohio at all, just a general observation) who didn't look askance at a deer rifle but seemed bothered by "assault" weapons. This is doubtless more prevalent where campaigns seeking to convince hunters that these weapons are evil are more prevalent. But when I lived in North Carolina, I would see neighbors getting out of their cars with their AR15s in the subdivision and there just seemed to be more acceptance of shooting as target-practice with military weapons, for lack of a better way to put it.

MISSISSIPPI!!! No waiting period on firearm purchases, stand your ground laws, and shall issue ccw. the only bad thing is that you have to wait 120 days before you get you conceal carry license, and a $127.00 fee. you can have a loaded pistol inside your vehicle as long as it is out of sight without ccw. (vehicle is considered an extension of the home) once you have ccw, you can pretty much carry wherever except schools, government buildings, jails, bars, and churches. one good thing is that i have never ever been to a "range". there are thousands of acres of pasture land to shoot on. no need for a range for me.

The cost of living in Ms is pretty low. The Ms public school system is mostly not that great, but there are several notable exceptions.

Florida

I vote for Florida. You have the weather, the rights, the women, the money, lots of work, and its not too expensive to live here. I love Florida's west coast!

Vermont...Alaska and N.H. are great also........

I'm a Vermonter, born and bread and here the're absolutely NO hassle. Here is the disclaimer: Silencers are prohibited and You cannot use machine guns for SPORTING purposes. Being neither, it just doesn't get any better than this. I live a stone's throw from N.H. and I'm more than happy to send them twenty bucks every few years for a CCW. I can't believe so many folks said Texas. I love the state but the classes and cost involved is draconian...Essex

I'm in California and am moving to Colorado.

It's not perfect, but I have a few ideas on how to fix it.

Heh, heh, heh, I know I shouldn't joke, but Coloradoans get all bent out of shape so easily!

Become a proud member of the fastest shrinking minority: Massachusetts gun owners. Where RKBA isn't a right, it's a privilage. Piss off the liberals in the bluest of the blue states. After all, almost anyone can be a gunny in the gun friendly states, but here, we work harder, because we have to. :cuss:

Well the Tucson area aint so bad either. Hell the only ABC affiliate in southern AZ with the call letters KGUN cant be all bad. Best time of the day here in the summer is from 5:30am to 9:30am when it goes from 65 to 80. We even have A/C for the rest of the day! Aint that special. Plus the great gun laws and BLM land in the desert for shooting make it ideal for me. Once you get through the summer its all uphill from there.

Left the Peoples Republic of Illinois 8 years ago when I got married.
Moved all of 18 miles to Indiana. Feels like the other side of the world

Stay away from New Jersey unless you are a cop, criminal or a relative of a politician. No one else may carry.

Whatever you do...DO NOT move to Idaho.

Shooting in the desert never having to visit a gun range, weekends in the mountains, awesome gunstores, and CCW virtually anywhere just sucks...

I think the Brady camp has rated us an F+...totally unsafe to live here...you might get shot at!

Very true...

Even buying a handgun in NJ is a pain in the ass:barf:

Of course, NJ laws do not apply to the gangbangers.

I'm in Utah, and I don't plan on moving any time soon. Gun laws here are reasonable. Well as reasonable as the laws allow reasonable to be.
