In a Los Angeles coffin.
Want to get out of CA. Need a nice place that loves black rifles, AKs, .50BMGs, easy access to CCW, good schools and a nice safe neighborhood for the kiddies.

Please share the best state. Thanks.

heheheh AZ is nice indeed.

Some of the nicer gun states are AZ, GA, VT and TX. I'm in GA and love it - hate the people in the cities, but the rest of the state is good.

I am in a Pro Gun state and still want to move.

I like CO, AZ TX, TN, at the top of the list with NC, Indiana, Idaho, Montana right underneath.

Being a Southern Boy by birth, I will freeze my non-existent skinny butt off in cooler climates...I can roll with the punches and acclimate...

Welcome to Nevada

Y'all step right over the mountain.

Oh. Wait. You said "good schools."

We ARE talking about somewhere within the United States, right?

Ha, ha; only serious.

Oh, you can skip the Southern tip of Nevada: that's Los Angeles Annex East.

Anywhere outside of Clark County (i.e. Las Vegas) would be fine.

Start with Reno and work your way outward from there.

I just moved back from Utah and the CCW was super easy to get there, very gun friendly... But then again, here in Texas is super easy too, but it's more expensive! Yeah and we have plenty of room for your .50bmg's!

If you're not afraid of a little cold, and moving to the other side of the continent, Vermont is very gun-friendly. Don't even need a special permit to carry concelaed there. ;)

As much as I dislike Pennsylvania for a number of different reasons, I also love it for it's easy stance on guns. CCW was easy-peasy to aquire. There's no waiting period for buying guns, there are many gun shows that frequent the state, and there are many ranges and clubs scattered all over the place. Most people (at least in my area) aren't anti or alarmed by the presence of guns either.

Ohio rifleman,

I've always heard good things about Vermont. Is it really that good up there? I'm looking for a place to move to where I'm a bit more "free" I'm not used to all the laws and regulations that get slapped on me here in GA...referrinf to other stuff, not gun related.

I moved from The Peoples Republik Of California to New Mexico because of their stupid gun laws (Kalis that is). And because I could make the same money here and it would go about 1000 times further! Anyway, NM is a great state for gun people as we have CCW, Open Carry, can carry conceiled in out cars loaded, and have a bunh of great hunting and fishing and ranges. It is a very gun freindly state where even our Democrat Governer has a CCW!!!!

I live in a relatively pro-gun state (TX). I would consider moving to NM, northern AZ, VT, Maine (ME? been a long time since I mailed a letter there), NH and OR (don't know the exact pro- or anti- status of any of them, but they meet my weather and culture requirements for the most part).

Pretty much settled on the idea that I'll never escape Texas summers, though.

Why good 'ol Texas of course, its big enough and I am sure you will find your niche in one of its cities.

NH

NH is a shall issue state. License to carry concealed is only $20.00 for non resident. $10.00 for resident. The only prohibited places for carry are court house and federal buildings and National parks. Open carry is allowed.

State Moto Live Free or Die.

Virginia doesn't have the wide open spaces of the southwest, but it's not bad. Just stay far away from the semi-independent land known as Northern Virginia -- there be monsters there!

:)

If I could handle the cold, I'd think Alaska. HUGE land mass and danged few people and LOTS of game. Sounds like paradise until you look at a temperature map in January or consider the mosquito population in August or think about proximity of medical care or, or, well, I'm not really the Daniel Boone I once was. :banghead:

Texas works for me. I like New Mexico, but there ain't many ducks there and I gotta have ducks and geese. :D

From what I've heard about Alaska, the buzzard-sized mosquitos scare me more than the cold.

One thing I will give the dry and warm/hot southwest above all: not so many bugs. I hate hate hate bugs.

Minnesota has been Down Graded to a D by the Brady Site.
Hooray for the Gopher State. I would consider moving to a more Pro-Gun climate if I could do so without being called a Damn Yankee for the rest of my life :neener:
Jk I think AZ TX or NV would be tops on my list Since AK and VT are almost as cold as MN.
