Geez, I hate to say this, but there is the slightest possibility that it may be legit. Future Weapons had an episode where they showcased a "revolutionary" new type of ammo that did precisely what DRT is claiming, and they tested. The claim was that the round would stay structurally intact while hitting hard objects and that it would penetrate steel. However, once it hit soft material, such as flesh, it changed to powder (?) dumping all the energy into the flesh and keeping any solid material from going all the way through.
They then demonstrated it by shooting a steel plate which the round did, in fact, penetrate completely. Then they shot the round at a roast-sized uncooked hunk of meat, and sure enough it caused the roast to balloon several times it's original size when struck and it was completely shredded...nothing from the original projectile came out the other side.
I have tried finding that clip of Future Weapons on youtube but haven't been able to locate it. I wanted to see if it is the same company or not.
Does anyone else remember seeing this?
