remember that photo of the girls in thier "smile-ly face Hitler" shirts?

Well it's been uploaded to an image hosting site that is known for it's questionable content, and well someone photoshopped it and changed the T-shirts so to give them a pro-multi-national message.
However it's not something that belongs on these boards.
but man oh man is it funny

PM me if you just can't live without seeing it.
and if you have any idea who edited it, then please tell them that they are my new "Internet Hero"

I am sure that all the White bands with hate filled music ,titles, and group names, such as"Rape Me",
Ya know, I've heard a lot of things about Nirvana, but never heard anyone call them hate-filled...

I would like to join in asking where you got this information. You are the first one I have ever heard this from.

and Korn(the K is actually backwards in their name)
Ok. You totally lost me here. Korn is a hate-filled name? And what exaclty is so terrible about the backwards K?

who literally scream into the mike while making incoherent bable a part of the lyrics
Screaming in and of itself is not indicative of hate. As a matter of fact, when you say "scream" my first associations is "pain".

Some people, sheesh...

Korn(with the backwards K) doesn't have a name that is objectionable but go pick up one of their CD's and tell me you would let your child listen to it......I already explained where i first heard the acronym,(from a deceased friend that was into the music), it honostly could be wrong. Me having no experience with the band, I took his word for it. Now Nirvana I have no clue but the any song talking about,"Rape Me" is definitely a positive message:rolleyes:...Screaming is not indicative of hate:rolleyes:...

You don't have to agree with me becasue we all have Too Many Choices!?...

You'll pardon my attitude, TMC: this board (and TFL) have made me ALWAYS question information. Which is a good thing, given the internet...

Many "heavier" groups of the 70's and 80's got tagged with some form of connection to Satanism by fringe Christian groups. Not too say that there weren't some that cultivated such. But not as many as some members of the far right (of the time) would've had you believe. Take Ozzy (particularly Suicide Solution

Yeah... the piece that sparked lawsuits, and had SOOO many parents trucking junior out to the therapist. Ever read the lyrics... they're VERY interesting...

Wine is fine, but whiskey's quicker
Suicide is slow with liquer
Take a bottle, drown your sorrows
Then it floods away tommorows

...

Now you live inside a bottle
The reaper's travelling at full throttle
It's catching you, but you don't see
The reaper's you, and the reaper is me

Yeah... I ommitted a fair amount of it. And yes, a song by a guy that I won't argue portrayed a Satanic image. Don't want MY kids listening to this, right? I mean, we can't have kids hearing a song telling them that drinking is bad, can we?

But this was the "Most Evil Song EVER" to parents when I was a kid. Cost Ozzy QUITE a bit of money in suits, and gave him a TERRIBLE rep with parents. And all because they didn't do any research beyond "I heard from so-and-so that this is all Devil music!"

Ok... someone burn this damn soapbox now...

Well, to be honest, I would not prohibit my children from listening to any music they wish. Unlike the US government, I've learned form the Prohibition. If it's something I find objectionable, it would definitely be cause for a talk, since that could be a sign of a problem they are having.

Korn... There are a few songs of theirs I like, mostly for the music. Granted, I haven't heard everything they ever did, but the stuff I have heard doesn't sound all that terrible. Well, maybe the stuff from "Queen of the Damned", but that's a movie about vampires (a pretty bad one at that).

As far as Nirvana, yes, there is not a lot of positive anything in their music. Keep in mind, their lead singer who wrote all that stuff blew his head off with a shotgun. Pain, not hate...

You don't have to agree with me either. I was just trying to understand where you were coming from.

I wouldn't call Nirvana a hate band either. I saw an interview where Kurt Cobain complained that Rape Me was actually an anti-rape song, whatever that means. I never paid much attention to all the lyrics. I was just happy I saw them play at the AstroArena before he killed himself. Hell, look who he was married too. I would write painful songs also if I was married to her.

White Horseradish, Be real...

You are either lying to yourself, or have no business having kids if you don't censor what they take in up until maturity(say the age of 12-13)...

Otherwise, just go out and bye them the latest,"Prussian Blue", album and add,"G-Unit and 50 cent", to the Christmas list...While you are at it you should throw in a couple XXX movies....Then you can have fun explaining to,"Mommy", why juniors first words are,"Rape Me", or some other frase you would not want to hear even your 15 year old spouting, let alone a minor child:neener: ...

I say that would verge on borderline abuse....
