There has been a statewide ban since 1989. Cannot imagine a whole lot of those 10+ that were legally grandfathered in are still around?? Seems like grandstanding..
There are millions of them here.
Mags have no date codes for the most part -- or at least they didn't and the physical designs stayed fairly static in most cases.
Many AR15 mags produced today are indistinguishable from those produced 30 years ago...
On top of that there was the magazine "kit" workaround...
