Looking through the case at my local Walmart and saw this. Seems every time I go in there they have another in the case...anyone else seeing this trend? I honestly like to see this, as I think this will help the prices come down.

Yep, my local wally world has AR's, Sig rifles, the new Ruger American rifle in several calibers and Rossi Rifles. LIke you said, I see more stuff every few weeks.

I picked up a "get ready for hunting season" flyer at Walmart tonight that had several ARs in it. None in the store but I am okay with baby steps towards more places selling firearms.

This has been a step in the positive direction IMO. Walmart usually offers the best pricing on these firearms. My local SuperWalmart has had Colt, Sig, Bushmaster, DPMS, and Smith&Wesson AR's along with the variety of other long guns.

It sure makes my ammo shopping experience a lot better!

In the Walmart flyer I picked up it shows 3 ARs: DPMS, SIG, and Colt. Only the Colt one has a bayonet lug as part of the A2 style front sight post. The rest have a small section of rail and no lug.

yep are Wallie-world has AR's and are Fleet-Farm now has magpul stuff for them and fleet now has handguns too ! wounder when wal-mart will get handguns ! hope soon , and yes I think it is great too;)

The Sunday paper here in the SE Cleveland, Ohio suburbs had the flyer. Unfortunately I don't know of a Walmart within a 100 mile radius that has guns around here. :(

Years ago all the guns in the Walmarts just seemed to go away and have yet to return. Matter of fact they offered a catalog to order handguns. The Walmart web site does mention that the guns are only available at locations licensed to sell guns so I guess licensing is on a store by store basis?

Anyway, I have yet to find a gun in a Walmart around here.

I bought a Bushmaster first of the week at Walmart. They were selling their last Colt AR, and I saw a Mossburg AR, DPMS, Sig, S&W 15-22, Ruger Mini 14, Scout, American, along with some tactical shotguns. My LGS don't have any Colt's or S&W's. Claims he can't get them. He has plenty od DPMS at a $150.00 higher than Wallyworld.

My WM HAD a Bushmaster AR, til someone bought it.

They're horrible with keeping consistent stock.

Just wondering (I am not an AR guy) what is the quality and value of these ARs? are the models considered good and the prices fair? would thise be a good option for a first AR?

Here in maine...

Here in Maine we have had AR's in our Wallys for like a year. Maybe even longer than i knew about it.

They have some good deals, i just wish they had firearm layaway! :what:

My local WalMart has been selling AR's and other rifles and shotguns for years. Looks like its mostly Sig, DPMS, and Bushmaster stuff. Lots of magpul.

my local Wal-Mart has most of the aforementioned rifles, a few Rem and Mossy "tac" shotguns, and some tac accessories for ARs along with the usual fare of sporting arms. decent supply of ammo too.

So that's what one looks like. I've always wondered about that, it's like rumors of a Bigfoot sighting in my area of PA to see MSRs sold in a Walmart.

Nope, no guns in Connecticut Wal-Marts. It would scare people.

Not true. I was in a local Walmart yesterday and their cases have shotguns in them. Nothing more than that yet but it is a step in the right direction. What they sell may also reflect the store manager's own political views on what to have in stock. There was also an actual associate working in the sporting goods section who actually asked if I needed help! :-O

My local one has a DPMS .308 sporter for $899(ish). Not a bad deal if I needed to add another caliber to the lineup.
