With all due respect, how would you know?
I thought the class was very good, and our instructor hammered the legalities. What else are you gonna talk about for a whole day.

Years of observation, basically. Couple things I'd like to point out though. One, your class may have been great. I know I did my best to make ours great and memorable and I've taken several that were. That doesn't mean, at all, that all of them are. Second, even if it's the greatest and most informative one or two day class ever, that doesn't mean that people will learn all that they need to in that extremely short amount of time, or that they will retain what they did learn. That would require a continued interest and intentional, self motivated pursuit of knowledge and competence in the subject. That's something that only a small minority (IMO) will do, and not because they're required to, because they want to.With all due respect, how would you know?
COLUMBUS, Ohio — As of June 12, you no longer need a permit or training to carry a concealed handgun in Ohio.
Gov. Mike DeWine on Monday signed Republican-backed legislation to allow people in the state to carry a concealed handgun without a permit or training and no longer require them to proactively tell law enforcement during traffic stops that they’re armed.
Overall compared to several other states yes, Ohio is pretty gun friendly. Here in Cuyahoga County case by case the prosecutor is already tossing cases out. Being NYC born and raised I will take Ohio over where I was originally born and raised. The prosecutor will toss them out before the court even opens in the morning.
Ohio's MO is to harass the troublemakers as much as possible, then let them go if they aren't real felons. Generally, if your facing concealed pistol charges, it's stacked on top of other charges you got caught for.
Ohio has always seemed like one of the nicer states, to me.

I would take Ukraine over New York City.

It's a bit facetious, Munny. But at least in Ukraine and a lot of other less than desirable places to live, you can arm yourself to maybe keep a fellow demented rider on a subway car from killing you and others.
At least in Ukraine you can tell who is going to be shooting at you. It's the guys wearing Russian uniforms. Not so in NYC. /sarcI don't care for the restrictive NY carry regulations either, but I would still rather be there then in Ukraine.
