Those idjits rifled the outside of yer barrel! That don't do no good at all! :scrutiny:

:D

That is an incredible-looking rifle, and a comfortable one too, from the sound of it. Dare I even ask how much something like that runs? :uhoh:

24 karat AR15s are like Range Rovers. They scream "Look at me! I paid serious dollars for this thing." And 2 years later, they sell for the same money as any other used car.

It's a freaking AR15, for pete's sake. Does anyone else note the irony in making the ultimate in cookie cutter rifles into a means of status one-upsmanship?

I find it ironic that a fellow shooter would feel another trying to "up" them by buying exactly what they want.

I can't afford that rifle, or a Range Rover, but I would if I could.

That rifle looks sweet! Range report in order!

That thing looks like you could LITERALLY drop it off of a 10 story building, pick it up and still fire it. Looks really solid

Those are LWRC rail covers that they make. I took a tour of their facility last fall in Maryland. Half of the building assembles rifles and the other half makes plastic milk crates. Very odd but they have the ability to make lots of plastics.

OP your rifle is sweet. Black is almost too hot to hold in the baking summer sun. I painted one of my rifles and was amazed at the temperature difference after sitting in the summer sun. David

Jealous?

I guess the guys who carry LWRC's into combat are just looking to impress the guys they are shooting at. Must be why the government buys them.

geez, debbie downer alert. Just because you're boring doesn't mean everyone else is.

That rifle is deleted -- <Sam> sick! I'm jealous. I loves me some flat dark earth goodness.

Uh, yeah, whatever. Perhaps one should consult the dictionary for the definition of 'jealousy.' I think you meant to say 'envy.'

It's an AR15 with a lot of expensive accessories of marginal utility and the corporate logo of a trainer on it.

There's no accounting for taste, I guess. I'd prefer 2x CMMG bargain bin AR15s and 2000rds of 5.56x45, at that price.

BTW- to the OP: Was I close on the price? You forgot to put that in your advertisement... I mean 'post.'

Actually, assuming GunBorker can be trusted as the arbiter of the going rate on these things, at that price I'd rather have 2x LWRC M6s. Sheesh.

Range Rover was an inapt comparison. This thing is like an F150 done up in Harley Davidson drag.

No, there is no accounting for taste, which is why you should have used a little discretion and kept your mouth shut.

The OP made an investment in a fine rifle that he is understandably proud of, and wishes to share with others who may be of interest. If this doesn't include you, fine. There is no need to reply. Didn't you're mother ever tell you "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all?"

Anyways, to the OP, I am not a huge fan of poodle shooters, ARs, or tan rifles. But that one looks sharp and solid. I am sure if it shoots as good as it looks, it should be a keeper. Congrats and keep us updated with a range report.

As someone who spends (by most standards at least) pretty good money on good AR15s, I agree with regard to some of the current designer brands.

So, serious question, since it doesn't seem to be outlined in this post, nor in the GB add... what makes this one worth $800 more than other LWRC?

Okay lets consult a dictionary.

Jealousy

1. jealous resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage, etc., or against another's success or advantage itself.

Jealous

1. feeling resentment against someone because of that person's rivalry, success, or advantages (often fol. by of ): He was jealous of his rich brother.

2. feeling resentment because of another's success, advantage, etc. (often fol. by of ): He was jealous of his brother's wealth.

3. characterized by or proceeding from suspicious fears or envious resentment: a jealous rage; jealous intrigues.

I would say jealous seems to be the correct word. Who cares what you would or wouldn't buy. That is the rifle the OP wanted and bought. Its a nice rifle.

Thats fantastic, he wasn't talking about a bargin bin AR, the OP was talking about a sweet LWRC he just bought.

Wow. You are laaaame. So you'd rather have 10 trailer homes than one nice brick home?

I think that rifle is awesome. Did he pay a lot for what is basically just another AR? yeah. Is it still cooler than yours? yeah. Are you jealous? yeah.

Back to the OP: you need to change the flash hider on that to something nicer than the A2. It's a shame to have an $8 flash hider on such a nice piece.
