Many Biker Gang Members Armed, Legally

Sure you were, Pushrod. And someday I'm gonna be an airplane.

Oh, and BTW, it's "you're." Not "your." It's a contraction.

Spend more time learning grammar and composition and less time in your delusions of grandeur and someone might take you seriously.

That was pretty smug and not really called for I think. Just because a post may have typos, grammatical errors or other such "errors" does not mean it is automatically invalidated. Similarly, just because a post uses large words and "intellectual" phrases it is not automatically superior and valid. Don't you agree? :scrutiny:

Back on topic. Both PandR and Biker make excellent points and counterpoints. For example, I don't think it's fair to portray all members of an organization in a certain way because of the actions of few BUT I do think that people joining organizations should know what they stand for, reputation etc. Seems like you guys have to agree to disagree. :)

Find out about them from the perspective of Law Enforcement.

Uh, find out about just about ANYTHING from the perspective of Law Enforcement. Every cop I've ever spoken with, here in CA, has an interesting view of his/her fellow citizens. The perspective of LE is an increasingly frightening perspective, and it appears to be taught to our police officers now.

(I do understand that there are cops with brains, here on this board. However, if I can't describe MY EXPERIENCE as it is, then that is a serious problem. So can it on the "cop bashing", already.)

We no longer have Officers of the Peace. We have Enforcers of the Law. Doesn't matter to most of them if the law is one against rape, or having a 25-round magazine for your 10-22, here in california. Local cities now give out tickets for smoking outdoors in a public park. What sort of a person does it take, what sort of "perspective" does it take to ticket someone for smoking by himself outdoors, in good conscience? Many cops here treat everyone like a criminal, because chances are, we ARE. It'd be hard not to be, and it'd be hard to look in the mirror each day, if you were a cop who didn't tell yourself that the job you're doing is good for us.

As long as the Outlaws, or members of the "local Red and White" are riding their bikes around and not hurting anyone, then they're not doing anything wrong.

Uh, the law is the law. You break the law, you reap the consequences.

Don't like law? The alternative is anarchy.

Amen bro I've had it up to here with that whole On Sheepdogs, Wolves and Sheep crap. It's all about the farmer fleecing sheep and keeping the sheepdogs fed.

No room in that scenario for junkyard dogs like me and mine.

Are you REALLY so completely ignorant of -- even recent -- history?

Do you REALLY believe that there is a binary choice between anarchy and "the law?"

"Well, gee, too bad we're going to the gas chambers here in Auschwitz, but it was that or anarchy I guess." "Yeah, it's either the law or anarchy." "Yeah, I guess that law against being a Jew is just a necessary part of having an orderly society."

In my recent experience, I seem to be getting the message that one who doesn't realize that there is such thing as a bad law, an immoral law, or even an evil law, or an evil structure of laws, is either a complete idiot, or a cop. (Groan)

I swear that I will ban the next person that corrects anyone's grammar in this thread.

When you are on the losing end of an argument it really helps seal your fate as coming across as a complete jackass when all you can pull out of your hat is spelling corrections and Logic 101 nonsense.

Understand?

Good...

Now back to your flamewar.

I knew it. You are a libertarian.

Never mind.

Because I don't believe that all laws are inherently good, just because they're laws?

Maybe it has a lot more to do with the fact that my parents grew up under Nazi rule, than with any sort of philosophy. I think you'll find plenty of liberals, conservatives, and others -- except the cops I've met lately -- who also believe that there are bad laws, and immoral laws, despite the fact that, in general, the Rule of Law is a better thing than lawless barbarism.

Anyway, I promised to post a profile of the typical Harley Davidson rider.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle is an attention seeking device. Individuals with defective coping skills use it as an escape mechanism to compensate for lack of interaction with significant parental figure.

Often the mother was an individual of low moral character, exciting an Oedipus complex (i.e., a romantic fascination of the boy for his mother). Typically the father figure would be absent during the child's formative years.

This would cause the child to grow up in an attention deprived environment. Later, he would seek validation by overcompensating. Children who develop reasonable coping skills grow out of the desperate attention seeking phase.

Some children never develop beyond the intellectual adolescent. Symptoms of social retardation are body piercing, tattoos, criminal behavior, Harley Davidson motorcycles, etc.

Funny, huh?

It's interesting, though hardly shocking, that someone such as yourself would think he's worthy to judge others for their pastimes and/or fashion sense.

And no, I'm not a biker, never owned one, have no tattoos, piercings, etc.

Funny?

No.

Stupid and annoying trolling?

Yes.

PMs inbound.
