Mixing it up for summer carry (P365)

I'm starting to believe the 365XL just might be the perfect concealed carry pistol -- 12 + 1, with a 15-round spare. Never even considered a shorter grip frame (I don't like the dangling pinky, myself) as a holster with a favorable cant easily conceals the regular size XL frame (for me).

Summer carry is a Hellcat (11+1) with a 15+1 spare. I carry OWB in a Don Hume pancake holster. The 11 round magazine with the pinky extension that it ships with allows me to get a full grip, and the 3" barrel and shorter gtip allows me to OWB carry with a medium sized untucked t-shirt without printing or peekabooing.

365 XL iwb 365 days a year. Wilson module and EPS carry added make the perfect CC pistol imo. I don't do pocket pistols but to each his own...

I was full time pocket carrying the P365, in it's smallest iteration. Still do on occasion, but I'm trying to go smaller and lighter; BodyGuard .380 at the moment.
But I'll take the 365 to a 200 round concealed carry course; IMHO, the 365 isn't much short of a service pistol.

My 365 gets more carry when the weather gets warmer and my daily attire is more along the lines of shorts and t-shirts.

642, possibly lcp custom sometimes.

But very probably something like the cold steel luzon large or ti lite kriss and some pom pepper spray

For me, the shorter P365 grip is a method of last resort if there is no other way to reasonably carry.

Normally I can carry my P365XL without problem. But when I need to pocket carry, the XL slide is too long. With my jeans I can get by with the taller XL grip module with the short slide. Although it would be easier to draw if I also used the shorter P365 grip module when I pocket carry.

I'm just not comfortable shooting with the shorter grip module and I do need to practice more with it.

I have the Wilson Combat grip module on my P365xl, I like it better than the Sig module. 12+1 with two 15 round spares works great for me.

If I feel that's too much, it's a 642 Airweight in the pocket

Pretty good choice, Peak....how do you like that straight trigger? Best regards, Rod
Can't speak for the OP, but I loved the straight trigger on my 365 XL and my 226 Legion SAO so much, I put one in my 320 Carry and may never go back to a curved trigger on my striker pistols.

Run the reg 365. Not a fan of short grips but on this gun its no big deal. Curved trigger too.

Shoot it well slow or fast.

Normally customize my stuff. No need on the reg 365.

I had the curved trigger in my P365 and the straight trigger in my P365XL. I prefer the curved trigger, which also has more room inside the trigger guard to fit a gloved finger. I replaced the straight trigger in my P365XL with a curved trigger and sold the straight trigger.

The action of the straight and curved triggers are identical. The only real difference is in the way the trigger feels on your finger. If you have thinner fingers you can pull the trigger closer to the tip and have more leverage, but you will also need to pull the trigger further than if you are pulling in the middle. My finger is large enough that I pull near the middle of the trigger with either trigger.

if you want to perform a fair comparison, you need to use the same FCU with both triggers.

Never tried a straight trigger; just something off-putting about how they look, that it was never worth the trouble to try one. Hoping some buddy gets one, to painlessly form an opinion.
