We all know the old clique, "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder", right?
With that in mind, I would like to know what one handgun stands out
in your mind as the most beautiful handgun in the world. Please, please list
only one handgun, past or present that YOU think deserves this title. And,
please only submit one entry per member~! I know that we could fill pages
up with this question, but I'm doing a comparison of all guns; and would just
love to know what you think deserves this title?
I will kick things off- after careful consideration, my vote go too the Smith
& Wesson model 39-2, the single-stack, DA/SA favorite of the 60's amd 70's.
I like its sleek look, clean apperance. with its factory walnut grips with the
S&W logo. Its just something about this weapon that draws my immediate
attention. Its too bad, that is was dropped from the S&W catalog in favor
of the high capacity model 59's. I have owned many, including a beautiful
factory nickel model 39-2, with S/N A222567 that I let slip thru my hands
UNFIRED. You know what, I wished I had it back. Well, yesterday (05-11-
07) I acquired an excellent blued model 39-2 with S/N A661XXX which I
am proud to own. Once I get it cleaned up the way it should be, I will
take some outside snap shots for all to enjoy. In the meantime, I would
love to know how you all feel, in regards to your one and only favorite
handgun. Please give us as much history related to your choice as is
possible. Thank you very much in advance~!
