I haven't got the words to express what your family must be going through. Your son will be in my prayers. Bless you and your family and lets us know how everything goes.

On a plus side my son who went through 7 surgeries this year for a leg lengthening wore a large fixator on his leg and went from a wheelchair, to a walker to a cane and is now able to walk again after 9 months. I was so worried about the kids teasing him. You know what never in a million years did I think that the kids would be so supportive of him and are more than willing to help out at school. At a young age children have more understanding and compassion that we have long since forgotten. It will be a hard road but you will get through it.

I will have your family in my prayers. I remember what it's like to have a child in the hospital in very, very serious condition! I will never forget it. I know you'd trade places with your son in a New York second. God bless you and be strong!

Boy that really put my problems into perspective. I don't have any next to that.
God bless you and your family. We are all praying for your son and family.

Kudos to you, Larry Ashcraft.

It nice that some people just know what really matters in life.

I'm very sorry to hear about your son, he and your family will be in our prayers.

My son is 8 and I can't imagine what you are going through.

May God's love shine down on your boy.
I have 3 boys and it just tears me up thinking about it.

My youngest brother survived having cancer in his sinus area when he was 7. I watched him go from a chubby little kid to a skeleton in just a few weeks. Months of radiation and chemo and somehow he pulled through.

I just found out a few days ago that my dad has prostate cancer.

My prayers are with you.

LORD bless you. I'm sorry for what your family is enduring, my prayers are with you.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Praying for your little boy and for you and the rest of the family. And also for the physicians and all those caring for your son.

it just blows me away when a kid like this showS us tough guys how to REALLY FIGHT.

hang in there dad, hes brought you a long way.

The surgery went really well. He is in pediatric icu heavily sedated right now with a trech tube in case his throat swells. The part of the tumor they removed and looked at so far is just scar tissue so the radiation and chemo was doing its job. It will be a few days before they wake him up completely. I suspect he wont like that very much due to the tube in his throat. But i am happy that the surgery went fine without any hiccups. I will update you guys more. the hospital has free wifi so i am able to communicate a little easier to people and you guys. Thanks for all of your support. Keep him in your prayers. Thanks again.

I will continue to send my prayers skyward for you and your family. May God bless your son and help him along the road to recovery.

glad to hear the chemo seems to be doing its job, I'll be praying for your family during the treatments!

My family's prayers will be going out to Braeden and yours. I am undergoing chemo/radiation for my second brain tumor in 8 years right now and I know how he feels. It's hard as heck, but with all these prayers going around, we'll make it. The Lord doesn't give us more than what we can bear. We're all here for each other.

No need to thank me, this has been THR policy since way before I became a mod. Look up the last posts of Labgrade.

Shane is doing well, and back to work, after his second heart transplant. Braeden will come through as well, with our help.

I was praying for you and your family today. Glad God answers our prayers.
