My LGS is fully on board the 6.5 Creedmoor bandwagon.

They want to sell new guns.

Everyone has a 308 or 30-06 or 7mm Rem Mag or something else.

Now there is a new hotness and they want to sell some 6.5 Creedmoors to some guys who just like to buy new rifles.

The 6.5 Creed is a great long range round but lets be honest, most shooters will fire 20 shots to get sighted in at 100 and will shoot a deer at 50-250 yards and they would never know the difference if they were shooting a 250 Savage or a 338 Win mag except for the recoil.

Gun shops make money selling new guns. 6.5 is the new caliber.

If it didn’t work their wouldn’t be that many different kinds of ammo available

It just works plain and simple (within its limitations)

I bought a 6.5 CM because I had a 308 that wasn't meeting my expectations. My CM is a RAR predator ($425 OTD). It shoots 1/2" groups at 100 yards with Federal non typical whitetail, 140 grains- available at academy for $16 a box.

:D:D
Yep, I give the .308 another 12-18 months, tops, then it’s just another “you got to be a hand loader” obsolete cartridge. :D

Nature boy I’ve seen what you can do with a .308:what: nothing wrong with it I hunt with one myself I caught the 6.5 bug though and like they say “the heart wants what the heart wants”

But I totally agree with you 18 months from now you will have to special order .308 ammo :rofl::rofl::p:D:D
