I got a Browning X-bolt stalker 308. It came with Leupold bases and rings as well as a Leupold VX-1 3-9×40 scope. I haven't shot it yet, but it may be the most comfortable rifle to shoulder I've ever felt. Also, I live in Ohio so I have ABSOLUTELY no use for a 308. Oh well I like it. uploadfromtaptalk1444094314837.jpg

Congrat.'s bscott. I hope you enjoy your new purchase. I'm sure you will have fun with it at the range. If you want to hunt with it you could always take a trip out West.

Ontario will welcome you(and your money) for deer or moose. Subject to our daft firearms laws, our Outdoors Card tax(licence to buy a licence) and the $241.61 plus fees and taxes actual non-resident deer licence. You can bring your new rifle though. S'only $35 plus tax to take the thing home too. snicker.

Nothing Like A Browning

Everyone who likes firearms should shoot one once...

It's like a Rolls-everyone should ride in one once...:)

Just curious sunray, what would the total cost of a moose license be to come there? Tax and all?

bscott29, that is a nice rifle you picked up. The only thing that would make it better if it was in my collection. : ) Gobble Gobble.

Those browning X-bolts are fine shooters.

I live in Ohio and have several 308 rifles and like shooting every one of them. I figure shooting extends well beyond hunting. Enjoy your new rifle and if you ever feel you have no use for a 308 rifle in Ohio just send it my way, I'll find plenty of use for it and enjoyable use at that. :)
