My want list.

Wish list, ah my wish list.

In the immediate future, a Garand (basically, I'm waiting for the racks to fill back up with the recent Philippine returns).
Also, probably, a WWSD AR build.

In the fullness of time, I want: a decent M1A; and a decent M-1 Carbine.

In a perfect world, I'd want a pre-45 Garand, and a post-45 Garand (and an import, like a Blue Sky or Fed-Ord to crry the grenade launcher stuff I've collected). A pre-45 Carbine and a Post-45 Carbine. Also a USN-style Garand in .308.
Oh, and an LAV-C to cart it around in [:)]

When I was 9, I used to bicycle across Portland, Oregon to go to Import Plaza to play with my favorite mechanical toy. It was a Hotchkiss Model 1937 25mm anti-tank gun with Italian markings that was set up in the middle of the toy department. It felt like a toy, as it was made of the lightest materials possible. The sights and breech block were missing and the tires were flat, but I loved messing around with that little gun.

Maybe I'll make a mock-up for my yard... or build it in .50.

My list is shorter than it was a few months ago. Just because of the reality that I don't have a tenth of the time for what I do have. Oh well, says Eeyore.

But...
Ruger 77/357
Ruger's new 9mm carbine,
And maybe a 1911 in 5".

If more time showed up,
Some guns in 10mm.

I also maintain a Short-List. Those are the guns I have researched and expect to acquire in the next year or two. I then have an Interested list. Those are the guns I am interested in; but for some reason, they are not on the short-list.

By maintaining those lists I am able to avoid impulse purchases. Of course, guns move between lists. Today a CZ-USA Scorpion EVO moved from my short-list to my Own list. This leaves room for another to move onto the short-list.
