I KNEW there was a reason I never wanted to live in NJ.

I'm sure that the Joisey polizei would have a fit with the guns I have - most of which CAN shoot bullets that will pierce body armor since there are several .22 and .30 centerfires. Of course there's the problem of obtaining the AP bullets to load the cases with, but never let the facts bother ya if yer gettin' those nasty guns off the streets. Oh, wait a minute, they were in a gunsafe, well we were gettin them outta the gunsafe to protect the public. :banghead:

Then there's the food and water thing... the guy was obviously a threat to society. :banghead: :cuss::cuss:

Not....not FOOD!!!!!! AND WATER!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Weapons of war, my aunt Hannah. What was really funny was they were holding up a .22 when they said that little gem.

God bless Texas.

Every comment made about the guy could have been made about me.

I make multiple gun purchases. I'm arranging for two more right now, and I'm working on the paperwork for a new silencer.

I have safes absolutely full of guns.

I have guns all over the house.

I have more guns in my vehicle than probably most have in their safes.

On a serious note, there has to be more to this story. On the surface, the only difference between him and me is that they better bring the national guard when they come to get mine.

if they ever try to grab guns i am taking the my armory up to Wyoming. i got plenty of family and friends up there.

the ATF has labeled all mulitiple purchasers' of guns as 'suspicious'??

There's a little more to that. The ATF has special procedures for someone buying mutiple firearms ALL AT THE SAME TIME, not just multiple purchases.

So the fact that I have running water and a full refrigerator makes me a survivalist? That's a doozy... I'll have to do a quick poll at work and find out if there's anyone who doesn't fit that description :what:

And the 22LRs as weapons of war? Doesn't anyone get to fact check or flame the journalists? C'mon, can't we call the manager or something... even Iraqi people can have AK's in 7.62 for personal defense.

I mean, if a 22 is a weapon of war, then a bottle of bleach is a WMD.

It is really sad when both the media and the politicians collaborate to produce such whiny left-wing pablum about horrible guns that could have horrific results and can be "weapons of war.":barf:

Sorry to say, its not just Jersey. The media hounds will exploit anything that can give them a headline , regardless if its true or not.

Hey at least they didn't call it an AK-47. For today's media, moving to only "weapons of war" is progress. Usually it's a "revolving automatic AK47"

This guy looks like a gun enthusiast, nothing bad in this, a lot of people here have a lot of weapons, including handguns, smg, AR-15s, .50bmg, etc.
AND, a lot of ammunition with that.
ANd water and food.
If having the three together makes you a dangerous person, oh lord we are ALL supposed to be in prison, LOL.
We are all storing water and food, and more than anything: ammo (maybe not, but a lot).

Wow. Look at the stress on that cops face. He is working hard to be convincing. It is obvious that he loves the attention and the audience.

so they's sieze tens of thousands of dollars of firearms from this guy, and likely not even charge him with a crime.

But they'll keep his property.

So how did the ATF know he was a "multiple purchaser"?

I thought the background check records were supposed to be destroyed within a few days.

does this sound like tyranny or is it just me?

oh man, if they call food, water, and a small collection of handguns/.22's "weapons of war", i wonder what they would say if they came knockin' at MY door

bottle of bleach is a WMD

ever do home-chemistry when you were young and dumb? bleach can get scary QUICK.

be thankful for THR

one day you'll be painted as a wacko

an extremist

a 'survivalist'

because you think

More than a few 'authorities' recognize what's happening in this country and they want no problems asserting full control when the time comes. . .

if I had more than 1 knife would I be 'suspicious' in England?

I think you might be in jail

I'll feel a lot safer, now that local government or ATF are going to regulate food and water. God only knows what people would do if they ever got their hands on food and water.:eek::eek::eek::eek::what::what:

Oh....and those SURVIVALISTS......Next thing you know, they'll be telling you there is a Constitutional Right-To-Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness!

Neighbor says "He seemed normal. He didnt seem like a radical."

Yeah, but Radical rhymes with SPECTACLE and that stands for some kind of exhibition.

I think everyone had one of those people in their elementary school class that never did anything...never passed a test...never could spell anything except their first name...may even spent the day picking their nose, yet they passed because the teacher didn't want to put up with them another year. Well, what you never knew was...they all moved to NJ after high school.

Even in the most conservative of enclaves the cops will take your guns if you go around committing felonies...

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - (WABC) -- Police have seized dozens of weapons from a home in Jersey City.

It is awesome firepower. Weapons that could fire rounds to pierce bullet proof vests and do considerable damage.

Jersey City police discovered the weapons on Friday after responding to a call of a man threatening another man with a handgun.

According to investigators, the victim was repairing his Ford Windstar in the driveway of 89 Dwight Street. When he went to the rear of 87 Dwight Street to retrieve a part for his van, the suspect, 55-year-old Edwin Wise, came out of 87 Dwight Street, approached him and said, "get off of my property." Mr. Wise then removed what appeared to be a black handgun from the small of his back and placed the gun to the victim's head and threatened him, police said. The victim then ran for safety and called for help.

Police recovered 28 firearms from Wise's home - 20 handguns, 3 shotguns, 3 rifles and 2 assault rifles - including the .380 semi-automatic handgun that was used against the victim.

Police said the weapons were strategically placed in the house near windows, fully loaded and ready for battle.

Wise has been called a survivalist because the house was stocked with food, water and weapons. Police say Wise hasn't been allowed to LEGALLY buy any guns since 1975.

Authorities say the guns were purchased in North and South Carolina where Wise simply altered his name and social security number to buy high powered assault weapons and ten thousand rounds of ammunition.

"This is a classic example of someone who was rejected by the State of New Jersey to own and possess firearms, but who used alternative routes to purchase more than two dozen deadly weapons in a gun-liberal 2 southern state," said Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy.

Investigators believe if the guns had gotten into the hands of criminals, the carnage would have been incredible because they are weapons for war.

So this is why we have all the criminal carnage in Camden and Jersey City.
It's the Carolina's fault.
Healy is on a par with Bloomberg,Street and Daley as a Socialist hoplophobe who can't police his own streets.
