National Buy Ammo Week

I need 1 or 2k of .223 so I'm in. While I'm at it, I need some 748 power, 168gr sierras and some magnum primers. Maybe I'll get 1000 bullets, a few lbs of powder and a thousand primers.

Just for the fun of it though... how many people know any gun owners that do not have at least 1000 rounds? If I don't count .22 rimfire, I have about 4 or 5 thousand.

If we use 1000 as an average though, and multiply 1000 by 75 million, there is one huge **** pile of ammo out there. 75 billion rounds. Enough to kill everyone in the world 10 times over. I think we're safe, for now. hehehe

i decided to go like this: at least 1000 rounds per gun at home, stored in cool dry place, in case S does in fact HTF. i spoke with my stepmom last night, we talked a bit about politics and guns (btw, she lives in NJ and is scared of the lact of good conservative candidate there) and we concluded that by the 2008 elections, i will have (at least) two assoult rifles per person in household (my and GF = 4 = 2 AR-15 + 2 AK-47 ) and 5000 rounds per rifle and 2500 rounds per handgun. gotta be ready to take on the communists, hippies, and zombies!

I'm in. Gonna buy from a coupla smaller gun shops. Nothing wrong with the big gun stores, etc., but the little guys would benefit more.

I need some .410 ammo, 20 gauge rifled slugs, primers and 7 1/2 shot. i just loaded about 100 rounds of 20 gauge too. were making/ buying it faster than we can shoot it. Or are we?

i just ordered a 440 rd can of 7.62x54r, and 120 rds of 7.5swiss. this sounds like a good excuse to buy another spam can of each!

It has been happening yearly. It just gets more and more attention every year it seems.

How would they (in power) even know that we had this combined effort?

I doubt that tracking ammo sales on a day to day basis is high on their radar.

Well, Kim du Toit has a background in doing such analysis for retail chains. That's why I really like the ar15.com idea of going to Wal-Mart. If anybody would notice it'd be them.

In the last two weeks (I know, I'm early) I bought an SKS, 700 rounds of 7.62x39, 800 rounds of 7.62x54R, 500 rounds of .22lr.

I'll swing by walmart soon and get a couple of those 12 gauge bulk packs as well.

Last month I put aside 1,320 rounds of 7.62X54R for my Mosins and today I just ordered 1K rounds of 7.62X25 for my CZ-52.

Think I'll swiing by Wally World for a couple boxes of .40 S&W JHP's while I'm at this.
