I have a Sig P250 that I really like, fits my hand great, very accurate, super-reliable. Problem is the trigger. While smooth as glass, it's also very loooong. The P250 is DAO and the reset is just too far for me to get used to. I've had a lifetime of DA/SA guns. When trying to do double-taps, I often don't let the trigger out far enough to reset and nothing happens on the second trigger pull. So, need some suggestions of what to look at. Here's what I'd like and what I've come up withi so far: I'd like 9mm, poly framed, preferably all black, compact or sub-compact as long as there's a pinky rest on the mag base plate. I'd prefer da/sa but will consider another dao as long as it's not as long as the P250.
Glock: don't point naturally for me, just don't fit my hand.
XD9: Fit's better than the Glock, just not perfect. I hate the grip safety.
Kel-Tec: forget it. I have the P32, one's enough.
CZ: RamiP, had one, grips too small. Maybe something slightly larger ?
Ruger: SR9c looks nice, fits my hand pretty well, but hearing all kinds of horror stories about them. Do they have reliability issues?
S&W M&P: M&P9c is an option if I could find one. Any good? Anyone?
Kahr: maybe a used one. Any issues with Kahr's?
S&W Sigma: I'd consider one of these IF I could do a trigger job on it. Ghost or anyone improving Sigma triggers? The stock Sigma trigger is horrible.
Stoeger Cougar: had one, loved it, awesome home gun but too heavy for carry.
Taurus: Never again, don't even mention it.
H&K: I don't want to have to sell a kidney to buy a gun, too expensive.
Skyy/Jericho/Hi-Point: Don't bother.
Did I miss any? Does anyone have some positive feedback on one or another? Or on a model I missed? I used to have a Ruger P345, nice .45cal., but a little big, I was hoping the SR9's would be as reliable.
What say you all.
