New Ugly Black Rifle

I think that gun is a real beauty. The fact that it can shoot such impressive groups makes it even more attractive. Unless you start hanging tommy gun foregrips and psychodelic lasers all over it, which from seeing how tastefully equipped your other guns are, I think is unlikely. Congrats again!

Armalite produces some great stuff.

It isn't often that one hears of major problems with an Armalite supplied firearm.

let me correct myself. that was not 1/25 moa. that was 0.25moa or 0.22" @ 100 yards.... As measured from the center of the hole. Cover a 5 shot group with less than a dime... Sorry for the confusion (which was mostly mine... brain farts)

Plink, it will be really important to tacticool this rifle. I'm getting lasers (*at least 2), 3 or 4 flashlights. I need a co-witness opticool eleventymillion co-bore sob story dust cover and a couple of vertical grips.... and my favorite option of all....

The beverage cozy....
I'll need 2, one hot, one cold...

As you can see from the rest of my rifles, I believe in Pimpin'

Nice rifle. I own an Armalite and have been very happy with the quality. Not so happy with their liberal use of loctite on parts I wanted to swap out, however.

Nice desk, too. Looks like a mission style made out of actual quartersawn white oak. However, those white round knobs on the drawers are out of place, and probably not original. Blackened steel pulls would be more appropriate for the style. White oak knobs would be a runner-up. Just FYI.

z-mich... The original nobs were lost... the mrs's picked up the current nobs. Belonged to my grandfather, the founder of the BYU athletic department.... Was his desk at school. I snagged it out of the barn at the home-stead in Utah. Desk would date from the late teens, early 20's

And I agree. They use the Red Locktight, which is a real pain... Blue locktight would be much preferred, if you have to use at all....

Very nice-looking collection you have.

Won't spend my money on an AR in order to shoot holes in paper. The much cheaper "peasant conscript" SKS and Mosin etc blasting oranges in the river is much more fun, and with cheap ammo.

Haha, don't forget the IR laser in case ya gotta light 'em up at night. The drink cozy is a new one on me. I'm still giggling about that one.

Seriously though, you have a gorgeous stack of guns there. I drooled my way from the top of the pic to the bottom.

I'm really fond of my IOR scope on my V93. I have used it for coyote hunting when the pelts are prime. It is a good rifle, although it is pretty heavy and doesn't balance as well in the shooting sticks as I would like.

Here lately I prefer the Mosin Nagan sniper for coyotes in the warm season, as it sort of wrecks their pelts.
