Nightline Report on Campus Carry

Excellent video!

I loved the contrast between the SCCC students and the anti-gunners. The students in favor of being armed were very informed and intelligent. They responded with relevant and realistic responses. Then, when interviewing the anti-gunners, it seemed they were responding from la-la land. "Oooooh! This is a school! We should be living in a fairytale! I wish the campus police could teleport like in the movies! We shouldn't have to be responsible for our own fate! The good witch of the east should make everything all better for us! Can't we all just get along?"

Outstanding job by the SCCC students!

That was the most objective gun story I think I've ever seen on ABC. Perhaps our letters to the editors are working.

+1 for liberty!!!

Did anyone else notice the reporter trying to suppress a big grin after shooting a pistol for the first time? :D

Maybe we'll have another Stossel in the media. I sure hope so.

The piece was really heavy on the pro-carry side (if you look at number of min/sec given to each side). That should be expected, however, since the anti-carry side is the status quo and the piece was about SCCC's efforts to change that.

One thing I have been noticing is that even the big media outlets are seeming to lean more towards CCW now than ever before. It seems that they are realizing through their own stories, that the antis are not using logical and thought out arguments, they have no basis for their arguments other than emotion.

"I would feel safer if there where no guns..."

imho, I don't give a **** if you FEEL safe, I care about if you ARE safe. And the numbers don't lie.

Awesome video.

And the head of SCCC has a PT111 in appendix carry. Good man.

Wow, very good video overall. Did anyone else notice he tried to shoot another round after the slide locked back? Done that myself a few times especially when I was learning.

I also liked how he brought up the "College is too wild a place for guns" argument and let the SCCC students respond, and they had some good responses.

Amongst the blissninnies:

Reporter: "Would you feel safer or less safe if there were students who had concealed weapons?"
*dramatic pause while the girls stare at each other*
Leader: "Baaaaa"
Herd: "Baaa" "Baaaa" "Baaaa" "Baaaa as well."

Reporter: "What if they put it to a vote of the students. . ."
*girls stare at him*
Reporter: ". . . do you have any sense of how it would go?"
*girls make funny faces and look at each other for a while, then they all look at anti-guy*
Anti-guy: "I think it would be an overwhelming no. I really think, I mean, guns are not something we are really fond of, after last year."

I am President of SCCC @ East Carolina University. This video is great publicity for our cause and hopefully we will see improvement in the coming months.

Amazed...
Awed...
Overwhelmed...

A pro-gun piece done by the mainstream media.

Quick - someone check to see if Satan is selling snow-cones in HELL.

That said:
That gun the engineering student gave to the reporter to shoot...

What was it? Looked an awful lot like a High-Point to me or a Ruger.

Surprisingly good video.

How well is your effort going?

The gun that Ken let the reporter shoot is a bi-tone XCsc...not sure if its a .40 or 9.
