No such thing as "utterly reliable".....is there?

Let's put it this way: I'd put my life on the fact that most guns out there can reliably have more bullets put through them without problems than a person can. :)

I have a few CZ's that haven't failed on me, but that's only because I haven't put enough rounds through them yet. Notwithstanding other brands, anyone who thinks that their choice in a handgun will never fail is deluding themselves.

What I'm impressed with on reliability is handguns that will feed just about anything in their caliber and not fail. So I can't say I'm really impressed with a handgun design that only wants you to shoot factory ammo. I haven't bought factory ammo in years.

I'm a reloader, can't you tell?

Fail proof does not exist.

That being said;l I trust my 1911 to be a bit more reliable than the other handguns I own. The sucker is just durable.

BHP

Although I'm a died in the wool, custom 1911 carrying, koolaid drinking Guv'mit model fan, I've found the FN P35[ known locally as the Browning HiPower] to be the most reliable autopistol I've ever worked with.......and that included GLOCKS.

The more I shoot handguns, the more I like HiPowers:)

In many countries and in many languages..."utterly reliable" is usually spelled SIG.

I had a CPO Sig P226, date coded '89. I put thousands of rounds thru that gun with no more than usual cleaning and never had a single failure (except for the occasional squib round) from the gun with varied ammo.

I had to stake my life on one handgun, it'd be the P226.
