If the D's take congress and pass an AWB --- one which not only bans but confiscate "assault weapons" --- by a veto proof margin, what happens? What if it's almost veto proof? Does Trump veto it? We might possibly have a Democrat congress and oval office on January 20, 2021.
There ARE Democrats who want to take our semiautos. Kongress Kritter Eric Swalwell of California was on Tucker Carlson a couple months ago promoting exactly such a law.
It might get to SCOTUS and be found unconstitutional .... might not.

Want to go that route, or want to keep the Swalwells out of office in the first place?
