1917 Colt New Service Army .45

1919 (pre A-1) Colt Government Model .45

Both are re-blued but work just fine... I had them out at our last THR get-together along with a 1939 Mauser made Luger.

A S&W Safety Hammerless in 38 S&W on occasion. From 1900

When a feel like some old class.:)

My father-in-law left me a minty early WW-II era Beretta 1934 (before Beretta started manufacturing the cruder wartime pistoles ... single action, capable of cocked'n'locked carry, horrible stiff trigger pull ... but put together like a fine Swiss watch (and beautifully blued) ... only thing was, it was a .32 version, not the .380, so the size-to-power ratio was not favorable given the rather unwieldy chunkiness of the piece, not to mention the big forward hook on the magazine floorplate ... Yeah, I carried it a time or two ... just for nostalgia's sake. Quite accurate and totally reliable (even with Win. STHPs).

A 1921-made Colt 1903 (.32 ACP), while my 1964-made Sistema was in the shop. :)

Oldest

Oldest is a Colt's 1911 made in March of 1912... first month of production.

Only carried it once however, now resides in the original box in a safe deposit box.

70 year old CZ-27 as a pocket pistol in the meantime.
I carried the slightly older model, CZ-24, in 9mm Kurz, complete with Waffenampts all over it, probably produced in 1940 or 41. Also carried a Colt M1903 .380 for a while, not sour of date of manufacture on that one though. Usual carry was a 2 1/2" Python c. 1975. When CCW becomes legal here in WI, it'll be an almost new RIA M1911 or Smith 442/642.

One of my very first handguns was a 1915 dated Forhand Arms .32 S&W Long. It was a decent little revolver and in good shape. It was accurate and fired the .32 S&W Long which is at least a good as a .32ACP.

Since then, I have owned and carried a lot more but most of my CCWs have been fairly modern. I did carry an early S&W pre model 36 flat latch. I also carried a CZ-70 but I don't think it was all that old even though it seemed like a WWII pistol.

Colt New Service with Royal North-West Mounted Police markings dating it to 1909 modified from .455 Eley to .45 Colt. Also a Webley MkV 4" in the original .455 with Fiocchi 262gr. LRN ammo. Never looked up when it was made but it was definatly pre WWI.

Dosen't quite count, but I have also carried a couple of repro percussion revolvers, so that would be the oldest style handgun anybody's mentioned.

Colt 1911, delivered to the Armory in San Antonio, Christmas Eve 1913.

I retired her when she turned 90.
