And how about the end of the article? The pickup driver was shot and drove himself to the hospital, but "No one was hurt."

So, we are left to believe that in Omaha, Nebraska, it is illegal to use lethal force in self-defense under any circumstances. Does anyone live in Omaha or in Nebraska and know what the law really says?OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha police said they are searcing for someone who shot a man in the hand after an apparent road-rage incident Thursday morning, but witnesses said the victim may have brought on the attack himself.

Police said that even if the driver shot Johnson in self-defense, it doesn't justify the act.
"Shooting a gun in the city is illegal," said Sgt. Teresa Negron.
Police said a Douglas County deputy in an unmarked vehicle saw the incident and responded. The pickup driver apparently accidentally sideswiped the deputy's car as he drove away toward the hospital, police said.
No one was hurt.
