19 year old left a note saying he is going out in style, unreal. You just have to wonder if he got any idea's from the tape the was broadcast on NBC after the VT shootings.

Sick. I don't see why someone would go shoot a bunch of innocent people like that. I wish a CCW holder would have put him down instead of him offing himself.

Tragically, this is the wave of the future. In the good old days, severely depressed and paranoid folks just off'd themselves. These days, they like to take revenge on the society they blame all their troubles on. Why go out with a whimper when you can go out with a bang?
The only way as a nation that we can possibly prevent these things from happening is to get everyone armed at all times. Just another example. How many more do we need? 6 minutes for police to arrive and it's over? Hmm, how about, "4 seconds until a shopper terminated the man." Sound any better?
People are so scared for their lives around the city of Chicago that they are illegally carrying concealed on the job. I have had people tell me they do it first-hand, and no they are not gangsters. They are choosing jail time for their safety and this proves exactly why their morales act on them this way. I wonder when the government will get heads out of asses and figure it out.

Took 6 minutes for the police to show up. Had this guy brought more ammunition or kept up his rampage, think of how many could have been killed while people waited for police to save the day.

Just today we had a customer get irate ahd threaten to come in with his pistol and start shooting our computers and put us out of business.
I politely informed him that it would be the last action he would ever do on this earth and if he EVER suggested it again I would have him escorted from the store and arrested. I'm not a fan of over reaction but I will NOT have my co-workers threatened.
Apparently I don't look like the kind of guy who would carry a firearm.
This was about 2 hours before I heard the story, otherwise I may not have even warned him.

I have to believe that some of the Brady folks are secretly salivating over this. Perhaps this is the one they wanted. Perhaps the death toll wasn't quite high enough and it is not the one.

Do you guys think the shooter is a disgruntled white guy from a good Christian family? We need to know this so we can keep those kind of people aware from our malls!

I'm convinced that it's a way for these nut cases to get their 15 minutes of fame, even if they aren't here to see it. People will even make internet sites about you where your deeds will be celebrated for all eternity.

Sorry being armed is a serious business and I certainly wouldn't want everyone carrying. There are some people who shouldn't be allowed to drive, much less carry a firearm. Let's leave CCW voluntary ok? That way hopefully those who do choose to carry will be responsible enough to get some training and think about these scenarios in advance. I don't think arming everyone is a good idea.

How about impossible. Maybe if the shooting happened right in front of an armed citizen. Otherwise it's going to take a bit longer then that for someone to hear the shots, recognize them for what they are, locate the disturbance and move to a place they can engage the shooter.

Here in NV places are posted sometimes, but all they can do is ask you to leave.

I seldom go to a mall. Last weekend we went to a bookshop appended to the local mall. I was packing a 9mm, 2 spare mags, and 2 .38 snubbies. It's paranoia only if nobody's out to get you.
